very few
Time to make the first 2-sided token!
You jest, but imagine a weapon that has two modes, one on each side.
Ooh, that would open up some interesting avenues!
It would take some extra tooling but if all common through rare tokens had two sides, it would fix the problem many new players run into of not having a range weapon, it would instantly open a certain number of slots at each rarity to and interesting tokens or just back fill them with more weapons one.
I like the idea
I am VERY against every token having two sides. It would increase overall costs (I imagine), and most tokens don't have a reason to have two sides (especially things like potions, wands, etc). I wouldn't suggest it even for most weapons.
It would be helpful for combo weapons, ranged vs melee being obvious by which side is up. Then they could have different damage wheels, etc. (Something like a dagger or spear would theoretically have the same wheel, but something like a slingstaff could have a d6 on the melee side and a d4 on the sling side, etc.
You could have something like a blunder weapon with a bayonet, a halberd could have two wheels, a magic rod or staff could have a melee wheel and a magic ranged wheel, etc.
There is a possibility of equippable tokens where you choose one side or the other, but there'd have to be a reason to have two sides, as we already have tokens that involve choice in the Coaching room.
Fixing the no range newbie problem would be as simple as having a bunch of slings on hand and either handing them out or trading them for any common token.
I came here to sing and collect tokens, and I'm alllll out of money.
