He means +4 dmg bracers wouldn’t get used because of slot expanding bracers being better than that.

Bingo. Posting from phone in bed. No long comments at the moment

Ok, well if that's what he means then I don't think its a fair comparison because of the price point 1 UR PYP at +4 damage vs 1UR PYP + conservatively $300 for a volunteer charm & a hard to find story line relic. I should hope the solution that 4 times the price is stronger.

All depends on what's the target audience. If someone already has the draco and onyx charms, then they wouldn't upgrade. If they didn't, they would upgrade.

Wow, I need 11 URs next year, at least...

But why change it from a 'Drik' to a 'Blade'?

I thought our target audience this year was newer players.

This also might be an indication that the set is a little to powerful over all (ps I'm thinking similar numbers if nothing changes)

Not sure I like the charm of glory. No hard decision to upgrade a charm to a ring when you have 3 different charm slot expanders. Forget hand of glory, use charm necklace, charm of glory, and get 2 free charms. Then convert one to charm of brooching, and the neck slot became 1 ring, 1 back, and 1 charm.

I agree with an earlier post that the Cook's Hat does not have a meaningful-enough restriction. Maybe restricting it to 3 ioun stones total would be more appropriate. The new players with it won't notice and the next step up will want to get something better eventually. Higher level collectors won't use it as it would mess with sets or wouldn't be needed.

Not if I am trying to equip more than one class. And was gone a few years and are missing some items.

It feels like the 2014 set, like in that power level, not that it is similar in items. Transmutes feel similar in items 🤪 gotff literally came out that year though.

We all have our reasons, but this year seems undoubtedly powerful. Maybe to powerful, lets proceed with caution that's all I'm saying.

I think this might have been discussed in the earlier threads, but can someone explain to me why we need the hit and damage limiters in the rod? Are we really afraid of someone with 18 or less strength both hitting too frequently and doing too much damage with this?

With this revision I’m back up to 8. My usual order.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir
