Re the sword, I like it, maybe tome down the saves (and have the guard include save bonuses?)

Re the ranger, ranged ranger yay! Sorry melee ranger, least there’s a good bow to .... was that removed or was i hallucinating that? Sorry melee rangers, we still love you.

Re monk thing. Do I get upgraded to stun fist with it or is my dazing fist just doubled if I’m 4th level? Why is the sacred left off shuriken? (I understand other ranged attacks) Do I get psychic or do I need to buy that skull to equip also? Cean we get a shuriken in 2021 set since he ring no longer is a substitute? hey look at uncommon. Best I can say is that it’s closer to the damage output that I thought it would be at, but am less interested than +6 or 7 ( I was hallucinating that too right) and only auto kill on a 20 (I’m not going to single 20 let alone double 20 unless my group gets into bumping)

barbs ... they lost the dr? Could we bump them up if we’re going to remove that? One more damage might be reasonable since they’re Criting on 19-20.

Are the gauntlets why the 19 - 20 effect isn’t just crit on the monk legendary?

This still seems too good to me. Maybe if the saves bonus went to +2 it would seem about right.


Using this as a template, things I would want:
Paladin may guard from ranged/targeted spells/AoE
If Paladin saves those they are guarding save
Additional guard (I'm ok with 4, but many people seem not to be) I think guard isnt as great as many think, particularly given what we see in terms of the combats we've seen.
Additional saves
Additional LoH
Smite known evil (maybe detect evil becomes a free action?)

I think the extra things like autokill and sacrifice are not really necessary.

Any saves not on the party card aren't likely to get added, much like the ones on the card wouldnt get reduced, but even more so, since the number needed to save isnt really announced.

  2. I admitted the 90% was a made-up number.
  3. Even if only two thirds of the monsters are evil, it's still an effect with a two-thirds uptime.

My statement remains the same. The tokens are fine. Yes some of them are powerful. But some people want more power and it takes a lot to make those tokens. So leave them as they are.

I didn't look back at all, it was just off the top of my head - not trying to nerd snipe you on this.

Just observing that my gut is 20-33% since say, 2015.

My guess is the plan is to get the tokens done before Gen Con. And announce the recipes before Gen Con too. Though those days are slipping fast for the TD group since I think they leave out the Saturday or Sunday before Gen Con that is 2 weeks from this weekend. I do expect tokens to be finalized (more or less) before Gen Con. The transmute can probably wait to after Pax West if needed. Jeff needs to get the tokens ideas to China to be made. The recipes can be tinkered with for awhile if needed. I have no knowledge on any of this, just a guess. Since we have never designed tokens this early before we don't have much to go off of.

Jeff has stated he wants to complete this part this month, so my guess would be being complete by 28th to keep that target, past that it’s starting to be to close to gencon to finish this month.

Tokens will probably need to be locked in by 7/26, as I think they need to start hauling stuff to indy right after that.

I think set bonuses and transmute recipes could be under consideration into September if necessary

Savior is clearly much better than PoDD. That doesn’t mean you’d always use it.

Example: I’m at 30 HPs and get hit by a 49HP fireball. Our Paladin is out of Sacs.

PoDD - on the players’ turn someone uses their standard action to bring me back to 1HP

Savior - as a reaction someone says “Nope!” and I stay at 30HP, and on the players’ turn we all get to attack.

So I don’t get why some seem to think it’s useless in a world of PoDDs.

If I’m reading your post right your saying that the savior stone cancels the hit that killed you effectively putting you back to your health before the kill shot?

If so it states on the stone that the targets hp is set to 1

I certainly have no problem with those features. My proposal was to remove the saves bonus.


I would rather paladin gets +5 retribution damage it makes it seem more paladin and removes the saves.
