I've seen this listed a couple times. Potion Revival Root is a functional reprint of Deaths Door. I don't see a need for that next year.

If we're going back to basics about a potion of deaths door?

Unc, footman set getting little long in the tooth but does that even say play in builds anymore?

Footman works quite well at the Hardcore level.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

When I get around to posting it, its also my recommended starter bard armor - its not terribly expensive despite its age, however I imagine that if 20 people decided to buy it, the secondary market would quickly increase the price.

Im not saying that a few potential transmuters should determine a reprint; i just think if demand goes high enough on a token that would otherwise get reprinted, having some portion of that demand due to transmuting shouldnt prevent the reprint.

So it is relevant to ask why people want them. You are saying that people want to use them to play with but I haven't seen that. Not saying it doesn't exist, but that it is valid to ask so we can see that.

Let me rephrase my point...

If there exists demand from people who want the UR and dont have it.
And there exist people who want the UR to use/have it.
And there is no surplus available for sale/trade.

Even if everyone who wanted to use the UR already owned it, they could sell/trade them to the transmuters...demand wouldnt change since they still have an interest in replacing that UR, but now the transmute complication is removed.

Thus it doesnt matter if the people currently without-who-want are the same as those who want to use it.

Unless the purpose of your question is something other than an attempt to deny transmuters reprints?

Ring of Reflexes and Ring of Fortitude are great for new players and are each 7 years old.

EoO is a key piece many mid-level players missed and will be highly desired as the nuggets keep taking slots.

The CoGF is a good re-issue because it will convert new players into the hardcore token collectors we need to keep TD growing. However, to appease the grumbling masses, the CoA recipe should be modified so that it is only worth 1 point. (The AoTF could take the 2pt spot in it's place as it is will then be 5 years old.)

Here's why it's great for new players...

1) It gives a new player a single UR to go after that will allow them to "stand on their own" alongside vets who are all carrying CoAs. (Less bargaining in the Coaching Room.)

2) It gives new players a slightly less pricey path to the CoA. At at CoA point level of (1), it puts the "value" of tokens traded-in at approximately the same cost of the average CoA purchased from a 3rd party.

3) If 2020 is being positioned as a true jumping-on point for new players, what is a better way to entice a new group of players than with a comradery-building treasure token like the CoGF? I can hear them now... "Hey guys, let's all go in on a big token purchase so we can all get a CoGF! Then we'll all get extra treasure tokens at Gen Con next year!"

I don't mind reprinting CoGF at some point. But I also don't think it makes sense to have more than one UR TE in print at the same time.

I am 100% in favor of reprinting CoGF, right after the 3rd nugget. I would be in favor of reprinting it instead of or before the 3rd nugget since it would keep the treasure cap lower longer, but I think its more important for Jeff to keep to the plan he laid out when the nuggets were announced.

ISGN. 19 & 20
ISPN. 21 & 22
Next TE. 23 - 24
Another TE 25 - 26. (With a possible Transmute using AOTF)

Based on what Jeff has laid out, it’s going to be a long time until there is not a TE in print.

What if, however, the total demand for this token is like 11 tokens from people who are trying to transmute?

In this scenario the market price could be quite high, but the demand could be very low.

I think the point is: “let’s try to print urs that are in some kind of reasonable demand.”

I agree we shouldn’t try to prioritize between types of demand, but we should prioritize based on quantity of demand.

I feel like most of the UR reprint requests are probably kind of in that category though. There are only so many who want a particular token, for whatever reason.

I have no skin in the game for any of these, but I think there are several that tend to be most requested.

+2 Staff of Power
Lenses of Vital Insight
Mad Evoker's Charm
Charm of Brooching
Hand of Glory (or Gloves of Glory)
Mithral Gauntlets
Charm Necklace
+2 Sacred Sling
FoP: Phoenix

I also think that the idea of adjusting either the Might or Cabal set is one to consider. Of the 2, I would favor Cabal, as there is already a +1 level token in print and the Cabal set is definitely not current in terms of power level. I think a lot of builds still use either Orb of Might, Crown of Might, or both.

Others that are requested, but seem to me to be too soon
Charm Bracelets
Earcuff of Orbits
First ever death in True Horde
