Yeah - compare with Circlet of Elemental Mastery which is limited by number of elemental spells and takes up a head slot to no other benefit.

I could see a UR: Ring of Damage Typing: All your attacks gain one of fire, cold, sonic, or shock to your attacks for the test of the room 1/room.

It could transmute to a relic that also grants +1 damage and a legendary that adds +3 and lets you switch types every round.

But point of fact, there are three orange rings. One Legendary Ring is Spells only (effectively the opposite of this suggestion), and the other two are generally considered near the bottom (some might even say second and third to last) in terms of Legendaries, so a new one wouldn't be that out of place...

Or even better, make it bracers, to replace the clear dead last Legendary.

What is 'Ring of Doom'? I'm not familiar with it, and it doesn't show up in the Token DB.

I it would be damage types on the party card (or for the orange, +1 for the default physical type).

Even though Jeff said he didn't envision reprinting Relic tokens, I think that there are some iconic ones that should be reprinted. In particular, I'm thinking of the Greater Cloak of Destiny, the Girdle of Frost Giant Strength, and the Greater Ring of Focus. Sure, it's possible to make variants of them, like a ring that adds a couple of points of focus and a couple of points of saves or AC, but I think many people are just wanting the classic version.

If the concern is not to reprint the Relic, or to not re-open the Legendary to be able to use the new Relics, you could always make it a functional reprint and change the name, just like Cloak of Destiny changed the name of Dougal's Cloak of the Stars. You could have a functional reprint at both the UR and Relic level if that's desired. Or, if it isn't an issue allowing the existing Legendary to use the new Relic (opening it up to more people), you could just do straight reprints with the same names.

Maybe each of the next three years, do one of these existing Relics as either a Functional or Straight reprint. :)

I’m not opposed to the idea of doing reprints at some point but would like to see the time between reprints be fairly wide.
It looks like the first legendary tokens were printed in 2012.
If the Class legendary tokens are the only new legendary tokens put out for 2020 and 2021, that would put us at 10 years from the first printing of legendary tokens and that might be a good point start reprinting relics to reopen legendary paths.
I think a 10 year window between printings would still give a wide enough time that it would not damage value too bad (I don’t personally think it’s a good idea for TD to be reprinting the best tokens to demand all the time)!
The other thing I think would be good would to only open one old path a year. Also don’t open up paths on ones that no longer see play because a UR is better or close to as good as that token.
Bracers of fast fitnesses is very widely used and I personally think it’s better most of the time than TaMor’s +4 Mithral Bracers.

I was under the impression that Jeff had said he wouldnt reprint relics, not that he didnt envision it.

I feel like we've got enough with the class specific relic and legendaries for the next 2 years at least.

If the majority of Legendary tokens for the next few years will be Class Specific, that seems like the perfect time to me to reprint a Relic each of those years to reopen a classic Legendary, to give all players a Legendary to make.

Here is Jeff's statement on reprinting Relics:

"I have no plans to do a complete reprint of any Relic, but we might eventually get around to making something that is sort of like an old one...so instead of a Ring that is +4 to saves, it might be +2 saves and +6 hit points.

I see the argument about giving everyone something to make, and Jeff's statement doesn't completely rule it out.

I think the Kilt and bead are enough for everyone for at least this year and next year.

Next year will be 4 classes, with 3 more still available from this year.

If we make additional relics, I hope it is something new, not a reopening.

Also, please dont ever reopen TaMor's bracers. Or +3 Mithral bracers.
