Not necessarily. It could be a hybrid, either or item. New UR, and the Relic combines the new UR and GoFF abilities, with the recipe being either/or. Or a recipe using the new UR, a slightly cheaper recipe using GoFF, or an extra cheap recipe taking both.

I guess I got a bit wordy with my post. Drop all the non-sense I wrote and just leave you with what I thought for a suggestion on the Ranger Neck slot. LOL


Here's what I came up with:

Relic Ranger Amulet:
  • Add +1 Charm slot
  • +2 DEX
  • Redeem Ammunition (i.e. Arrow or Bolt) - effects last for entire room (not 1 use)

Leagendary Ranger Amulet
  • Add +2 Charm slots
  • +3 DEX
  • Reveal Ammunition (i.e. Arrow or Bolt) - effects last for entire room. Do not Redeem, & effects last for entire room (not 1 use)

I'm mixed on the idea of having a "MYSTERIOUS STRANGER" in the storyscape. I think it could add a lot of atmosphere to what is currently a few tables and the bathrooms and allow people to do TD stuff outside of the actual runs.

I think that if it's a feature of the class legendaries then each one should have its own possible bonus and that would mean editing last years group. I'm not sure how people will feel about changes happening before they are even used.

Staffing would be a problem too as there will be so few class legendaries circulating that it wouldn't make sense to devote an entire volunteer to just sitting in the shadows, waiting to test the worthiness of like 15 people.

And I hope proving worthiness would entail something other than slide/identify/rouge box.

It was already in my last post, but to make it clear, I am suggesting items with multiple upgrade paths, so people can choose which one is best for them. An offensive staff versus a defensive one. A heavier version of leather armor with an additional bonus, versus a lighter version that more classes can use.

The rare token thread gave me an idea I put there about a copper nugget upgraded rare te that could only be used with other nuggets. +1 treasure pull.

I think that would be an even harder sell, given the charm of treasure boosting was targeted at newer players I would be really surprised to see it become a component of another transmute the following year. Normally multi step transmutes like that are dropped within a single year. Still no one has has made the charm yet so as long as we were very up front about it would probably be ok, but then I would be tempted to keep the charm of treasure boosting in print until the stage two transmute rolled out.
