Possibilities:

Lenses/Ring/Earcuff of the cabal: +2 spell and healing damage
Ioun Stone of the Cabal: +2 to Scroll and Wand damage and healing
Crown of the Cabal: May re-cast a spell from the character card (1/game)

I love the idea of expanding the cabal set, or revising it.

the focus item feels like too much too.

Crown seems very close to crown of expertise, which was just printed.

There are already Rare +1 Lenses of Focus, and an uncommon +1 spell damage earcuff, and the +1 UR Ring of Focus is massively underpowered. +2 "of focus" at UR seems the minimum to me. Maybe also it being cabal puts it over the edge.

Crown is indeed just a worse Crown of Expertise that happens to be a cabal set item.

I agree that +2 would feel low for Focus without any add'l benefit attached to it. +2/3/4 for cabal stacks would be interesting, and would give healers a decision to make in the eye slot between the +2 and split or the additional focus for Cabal-enabled groups.

My 1st Edition D&D Minotaur would always be sure to buy these as often as possible when available.

That doesn’t line up so well with your idea of limiting melee growth. I have a pretty good stash of strength boosting potions. I’m sure others do as well.

Clerics struggling to wield Thor’s Hammer would love this to be sure. Ring on the cats grace.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

You can use the potions today, so it doesn't introduce creep to the cap.

In fact, it might even cost you _less_ potions - there were only 3 combat rooms in last years dungeons.

You can't stack identical potion effects - I wasn't intending that this would allow you to.

I don't have a token idea, more of a caution and suggestion. For high level players, the charm slot is so tight: avarice, awakened synergy, and _free_. The charm necklace is out for most due to the legendaries. Bracelets are getting expensive and compete with guided strike (rogues, possibly people who use Thor's or any crit expanded weapon). So what gets used for the third charm? Greater onyx charm? Greater quicksilver? Quickstrike? Shadowshot? Questor's? Brooching? Spell swapping? Mad evoker's? Dracolich? Wil's dragonheart? Not to mention the rares with stat manipulation (sipquick, fiendish, etc.).

I'm a proponent for another charm expander (belt was mentioned, I like it, competes with some good ones). Additionally, I would be in favor of capping the total number of charms (8 is the limit right now, so maybe that's a good number).

Finally, I think the design space for charms in the UR level is saturated.

Ok, no stacking makes sense.

Yes you can use the potions now. But... Unless you have something that allows consuming potions as a free action, the opportunity cost of giving up three combat rounds over the course of a Dungeon is pretty high.

What would the relic and legendary look like?

Hmm... Ya know, when I tossed that out there, it wasn't even in the context of the Monk transmute, but since you suggested it...

Relic - Monk only - Necklace of Serene Thoughts - +12 Wis, +3 Int, Activate Stunning Fist on 19
Legendary - Monk only - Someone's Necklace of Supreme Serenity +12 Wisdom, +5 Int, Activate Stunning Fist on 19 and use a second time during combat

Cmon Fiddy, give me the Cleric option we don't want to be left out.

I don't know about a legendary path, but I was thinking about Nerull's Unholy Charm - Allows caster to use a healing spell as damage once per room. I know as a Cleric oftentimes I wish I could be more versatile as a caster.

Cleric transmute path isn't till 2021, so I figured to save that discussion for the future. Besides, I think Jeff mentioned planning class card reworks in for 2021 as well, so why not just wait and push to get some of that "baked in" to the new card? Maybe with another damage spell or two.

But Clerics could definitely use some love in the 2020 tokens after being dissed on the Hammers in 2018 and then having their healing nerfed in 2019.

Fighters could also use a little love given how the Hammers nearly completely closed the gap between what weapon Fighters can wield and what everyone else can. Being able to wield all weapons loses a lit of impact when there is a choice available to everyone that matches the best choice. And armor gap also tightened up with Hat of Hellway.

Nah... Just wait patiently for 2021 and really let the fun fly for Clerics and Fighters.

Guantlets of Might, +4 St and part of Might set.

Accomplishes both reprint of Mithral Gauntlets and having a new Might token to go with all the Boots and Scepters of Might readily available on the secondary market.

Good enough to stand alone if you aren't doing the Might Set, just like lots of people used the Mithral Gauntlets without the Mithral set.

If character updates are in the works, I think it would be the best way to give paladins a smite power.
