Demonhide Armor - Torso - Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Fighters, Ranger, Rogue
+6 AC
You can speak to and understand Demons

Demon Prince's Regalia - Back - All Except Cleric and Paladin
+2 to saves, -3 from Fire, +2 CHA

Demon Set Bonus (3 pieces):
- Slid 13s are a critical hit (if they would hit)
- 5 fire retribution damage
- Demons must pass a will save with DC of 10+your will save in order to attack you (if they pass the check they don't need to make further checks on subsequent rounds)

So basically a MEC for barbs (could be for other melee but it feels like barbs could do with a way to be a little more explosive). On the design side its simple to adjudicate from a DM perspective. And users would likely try to delay the triggering until the last possible round of combat to avoid the drawback which has the added benefit of bringing it in after the early round burst effects (like sneak attack, MEC, restore spell) have finished. Later round burst like that could be quite beneficial when the parties damage per round is running on fumes. It also isnt just another more stat boosting token (which some folks have expressed concern about) so creep would be somewhat kept in check.

I don’t like the roll set bonus but that a success is forwarded I do like. What if that part of the set was just left off?

I don’t like the roll set bonus but that a success is forwarded I do like. What if that part of the set was just left off?


It could certainly be left off - I think it's just dorky fun - similar to the 10 retribution damage against undead for the Mithral set - it rarely comes up (both because the set isn't BiS, and because undead aren't super common - although they are more common than demons in TD I thing).

I believe this was already suggested in this thread, but giving it my own spin

Gloves of might
+3 str
+1 con
Might set item

Rounds out str and con without needing extra tokens, and pairs nicely with the boots and belt of might

Makes +1 level available in another way, and some might items are very affordable

Doesn't raise the damage cap yet comes close to Mithral gauntlets in str buff

I would be against it if only because it would become a reason to wait 2 more years before we could talk about reprinting mithral gauthlet again. At a flat +4 str I'd be ok with it since if would be functional the same.

I agree completely, it's time for a +4 ST Gauntlets again. I still think making it part of the Might set also helps people complete that set and get +1 Level.

And I still think +4 Str Might are a huge power creep. Do we have to discuss this again?

I agree with Jedi. Of course we dont have to discuss this again. People are just advocating for what they want.

I think +4 Str is good enough all on it's own. It has been for quite some time, and based on the fact that people want a straight reprint, it seems to still be balanced.

I also dont think we need more might items while the ring of fateful heroism is still in print, and the eldritch set changes haven't even taken effect yet, but that may be just me.
