What if it brought the wizard back as a lich? The wizard would be yelling at the paladin 'STOP GUARDING ME! LET ME DIE!' while cutting with the mad evoker charm. Maybe even equip any minus-CON item available.

Very cool. Hard to beat Gregor's, but hopefully INT stats open up more tomes soon.

I envisioned the skeleton warrior lasting all room and disabling further spell casting (spin on polymorph), but realize I didn't state it. Would that change your opinion when comparing to Gregors?

Figurine of power: ghost - 1/game, summon ghost for rest of combat, it deals 8 force damage to any monster each round.

I equip that, and that tome of necromancy, and medallion of mystic mouth, AND i cast a spell or scroll...finally, wizard can do more things than bard or druid summoner.


So I have a problem with this, casters/wizards already take up enough DM time a round compared to sliders. Any more complications and you guys aren't going to get 3 rounds of combat it on nightmare.

Cool, yes. But I have a hard time seeing us give that level of healing to a Wizard, before giving Clerics a raise dead ability. And I don't think it is likely a good idea to give it to Clerics either.

Cool, yes. But I have a hard time seeing us give that level of healing to a Wizard, before giving Clerics a raise dead ability. And I don't think it is likely a good idea to give it to Clerics either.


I could see something like you fight as a zombie until end of room or for X rounds at which point you can be raised normally.

I found my old post here and pulled ideas from it:

Belt of Charms:
May equip 3 additional charms

Additionally, this lends itself very easily to relic and legendary:
Relic: May equip 4 additional charms
Legendary: May equip 5 additional charms

(Wade pointed out it may be too strong at +3 charms, maybe drop it down to 2)

I figured we'd give them one that let's them cast a Druid spell instead. There's can have a DEX min though.

I agree with Jedi in that an int value should be required, it could be fighter and bbn honestly, but it should describe the spell.

Magic Coloring Book Requires Int 8 to 13; standard action to cast firebolt (5 fire damage, 8 with Wizard check success)
