How worried are we about "to hit" with this build? Maybe ring of the yeti? Bracers do seem better. Or you could wear armor.....


It is currently a +6 to Hit +10 to damage (with the Bracers +8/+11). The Dex Kilt makes it +8/+11 which is actually probably a better choice. I don't know how that compares to hit vs any other characters. Screw armor.

Wouldn't bracers be +8/+12?

Either way, Dex Kilt seems good.

You are correct 8/12 vs 8/11 with the extra ac, reflex and healing the kilt seems the way to go.

Ok, someone check me here

10 CoAS adds 10 hp per player (100) plus +10 to init and cant be surprised.

10 Linked shirt of healing adds +3 to each cleric and druid spell (or +6 if using LoDS)
10 cleric spells
7 druid spells
1 ranger spell

And +27 to Bard's soothe wounds x 2

Potentially
30 (or 60)
21 (or 42)

That would be 159 points of healing, if completely maximized, rather than 100, +10 init, plus immunity to surprise.

Is 59 potential points worth it, given that we are probably not going to troubador?

I don't know what the cleric and druid are using. Do we know they are planning on using LoDS? If not it cuts down that difference even more. Because I thought they were likely using 2 Eldritch for the lvl bump and then Druegar Baton (or the relic baton) and Relsa's Ring.

To me it sounds like the Charm is a better choice.

I dont know, but I assumed they were using 2 eldritch, Drues and LodS.
I honestly have no idea.

I'm fine with the charm. Was mostly interested if my math was right

I almost think the plus ten to initiative is more important than the extra healing as we really need to win initiative I feel.

I will definitely be level 5. Was just debating two eldritch or instead crown plus level enhancer.

2 eldritch does give +4 to heals.

Also, this is why I was considering the +2 staff of power. It would allow is 3 (or 4 if we lesser maze) uses of alertness rather than 1. I think I've been convinced otherwise, but it's still rattling around.

Without the +10, we will probably lose every initiative on NM.

I can loan you the Rod or the Boots of 4 Wind (if someone else doesn't borrow the boots). I also might have the legendary lute by then. It depends if I can complete my trades before the run and get it transmuted.

I will have a boots and a rod to loan out, as I dont think I have space for the Rod. Plus 3 Kilts, as I won't be wearing one of those either.

Anyone want to split -2 treasure with me for +10 Initiative in our first 2 combats? I'll drop my ISGN for a +2 Staff of Power if so, unless we feel that breaks the spirit of the challenge?
I know a couple players skipped the ISSN in the original.

EDIT: A question of strategy

The Con is probably a better choice because I think this is a 4 puzzle/3 combat run. That said I am using the ring, but it provides cover on 4 different elements and retribution (if I remember).

Unless you are also wielding the staff of power (instead of a focus staff) I don't think Alertness is going to be that crucial on all the combats. Again this is under the assumption that it is 3 combats. The first one will be relatively easy because it is the first combat. I honestly expect us to smash that one and take very little damage (I could be wrong).

I have boots, a rod and a kilt available for loaning out, as far as Eldritch goes.
