TOPIC: E1 7(or 8?) Token Challenge

If it were Epic, I would leave them both out.

At NM I would go kilt, boots, and 3 TE. Last 2 based on class

Bard maybe cloak of blending and instrument

Wizards robe and MEC, or maybe staff and ring of focus

Cleric druid similar

Fighters, maybe girdle and weapon?

Kilt could become Rod

Not sure on LoDS

I now have another reason to regret making Thors instead of Welfors.

Doesn't thor's give you some nice redundancy on ranged combats thought?

Only if you can get to 20 Dex, which seems unlikely in this format.

I'm looking at a Fighter, so while 20 dex is possible it's not practical.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I could see a fighter going
CoA
ISSN
ISGN
Kilt
Boots
StuPendous
Thor's

For what it's worth, if we do this and I don't use it, you could borrow my Welfor's

I am actually thinking the Supreme Ring might be the one of the better pieces for eldritch 2 piece level bump in this limited token format.

-10 Fire, Cold, Shock, and Sonic is nothing to dismiss when going into a dungeon you know nothing about. Though honestly I expect to see lots of Fire damage on E1 or at least on one of the E's at Gen Con. Looking at the modules for the N series the -10 Cold helps against a lot of monsters faced.

That's a good point. I didn't really consider the decreased damage being a real benefit with the limitations to healing.

I don't know if I was in that group or not. I do know I was down to one HP after two blows in one room and I had it before. Nightmare was fantastic My only regret was not taking the token trade that was offered to me.
Played Druid (4) Bard (2) Paladin (1or2) Rogue (1) Monk (1) Cleric (1) Wizard (1)

Not a token collector - I want to play as much as I can.
Setting up and taking down the dungeon is tremendous FUN! I will absolutely be volunteering to do this every year at Origins from 2019 on!

My initial thought for what I could bring for a melee would be

3 TE's
Eldritch Boots
Eldritch Kilt
Averons Deathcleaver
Medallion of Valhalla? for strength and Con

In the original 7 token challenge I believe everyone used a Charm of Synergy.

With diminished healing, I wonder if we should consider this again.
