TOPIC: TDA19161186 True Grind Saturday 3:00pm LF More and Others

TDA19161186 True Grind Saturday 3:00pm LF More and Others 4 years 10 months ago #1

Hardcore ready Bard and Cleric here. I know TG is 1 level up from normal, and I would say we are TG Hardcore ready if we have a good group. Looking for the remaining ticket holders.

Alex is incorrect, I'm running druid full time now. His post should read bard / druid instead.

My son and I are in this run. We usually play fighter and dwarf fighter. Never tried True Grind before but wanted to give it a shot this year. We (think) we can handle hardcore but really depends on the overall group. Normal is fine with us as well. Looking forward to it.

Hi John,
Looking forward to playing with you and your son :)
A note, True Grind difficulty tends to be about 1 step above, so Normal TG is like Hardcore E1/2/3. Probably be best to do a Normal run unless the rest of the party is uber-geared :)

I have 2 players in this run and we're geared for epic (and able to gear 5-6 others up to NM/Epic).

It looks like 4 have responded.
We have a bard
We have a druid
We have a dwarven fighter
We have a fighter
- Are any of you using any URs or have equipment for 5th level?

My group has:
Orion - normally druid but can do a variety of classes
Fred (me) - Rogue/Wizard or can fill in with most any class
-we'd fit that "over-geared" description.

Here is my current build for this year. I'm still missing a few pieces that I hope to have squared away before Gencon such as a second ring (I recently picked up a charm of heroism instead of ring).

Our characters (Fighter & Dwarf Fighter) will be 5th level with URs and some transmutes as well.

If ypu are 5th level with any URs, the minimum should be hardcore. We can likely get you bumped up enough for nightmare. The druid, for example, we can get your spell damage and healing up into the 20s. Using the legendary lute and a handful of other tokens, we can have the bard at +4/+4 bardsong and usually not being attacked using a cloak of blending (typically bard is doing support roles using scrolls, etc)(I can can bring a stack as needed). True grind tends to throw unusual status effects, etc so that would be really useful. Dwarven fighter and fighter I can provide an extra set of blessed redoubt armor and templar set for ACs (along with some other ac and saves items) - they’ll just need weapons and some stat boosts.

We would just need to have a healer and a couple other damage dealers and we’d be good for nightmare. If Orion and I went paladin and wizard, we’d just need a cleric and the group would be solid for nightmare and overkill for hardcore. We’re flexible to fill in whatever is needed.

I know Alex is already running a Cloak of Blending in his build. He is also using a Ring of Heroism for level 5.

I can loan out a shield of the scholar for scrolls as a free action as well.

Aww snap
I would be fine with doing Hardcore/Nightmare with such a group :)
Yes, I run a Ring of Heroism and Cloak of Blending and am decently geared otherwise, though nothing amazing. I have done Nightmare runs before just fine and so with help I'm sure we can Nightmare Grind :D

You'll LOVE using the new legendary bard item. Essentially, (at level 5) - you can do bardsong AND most everything else (and re-roll 1-3 on saves for the party). I don't even thing it takes up hands while you use it now. It's, in my opinion, the second most powerful legendary this year (rogue's is first hands down).

I have 2 extra tickets for this run - if whoever started the post could include that in the "groups formed here" thread about this run, hopefully, we can get a couple more veterans in. I want to avoid people wandering into grind with it being the first run they've ever done of True Dungeon - experience definitely helps.
