Again, if we're talking about Gen Con, since the player paid Gen Con, only Gen Con can provide a refund. However, if someone shows up AFTER the start time, the EHP is clear (see other reply) that the EO is able to fill in with stand-by players. We would prefer to put groups of 10 through, as it's best for the party.

Regarding the Ghosting question...My understanding is that issue is detailed in the Player's Handbook (Event Rules and Policy section) or here: truedungeon.com/forum?view=topic&catid=607&id=247161&start=48#311126

There is no longer a wish list person holding a clipboard writing folks' names & numbers down like we had in the past. If you want to go on a run, even if it's at the last minute, you need to purchase an electronic ticket at either td.events (PAX and Origins), gameholecon.com (Gamehole Con), or gencon.com (Gen Con only). I'll update the Coach's Guide to reflect this change.

So, just to be clear, if there is a no-show, that just becomes an unused/unusable ticket? With no way to get someone into that slot?

If so, then at least you dont have to worry about your spot being given away if you run a few minutes late. ...in fact, how long after start time can a person show up and still be let into their event?

Interesting question! I was wondering that myself. Since the Ticket is already sold does TD not care about potentially filling that spot? I can imagine it might create some sort of issue where somebody claims - "You sold my spot anyway so I want my ticket refunded" that TD doesn't want to deal with but other than that, I would think they would want to run as many people through as possible filling every potential spot.
Secondary Question: If the run is close to going into the training room and there are empty spots, can someone quickly go out an Ghost those spots?

At Gen Con, the Host/Hostess has the ability to "oversell" a slot, even after the start time. We don't have a huge amount of time to do that, but we do have some time. I'm not exactly sure what it is off the top of my head though. But, if there are spots unsold, those are visible through the app. If you're talking about a no-show, a few minutes after the event start time is when we'd be comfortable going ahead and selling that no-show.

That was the reason for my question, Would there be someplace out front that could sell those tickets?

What did you do last year because it is the same system they have last year for TD at Gen Con? They scan your badge to 'take' your ticket. Sorry unless you are talking about buying a ticket at the con.

If you want to buy a last-minute ticket, you'll need to find someone with internet access.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

Aegoce wrote: Yeah, we'll definitely have builds for each of us for each class at normal ready in the app so we can adapt to whatever people who have shown up on time have picked and not stress out the coach.

Usually we get the 5th level char cards from a coach assistant before the coach shows up. Is there any better way to handle that showing up late than to let the coach know (basically should I try to flag down an assistant or just let the coach deal with it)?

I am one of the E3 Thursday day shift coaches. If I have the 12:00 room, and know you are coming, I will get it done. Especially with the app, I shouldn't have any issues getting the party card done.

We've got 3 tickets. 2 more people have made contact on the forums, but it looks unlikely we'll know all 10 slots ahead of time.

As you will check in first but arrive last, I would have at least 2 builds per player ready to go in either the app or tdc, and let those who get there first choose classes rather than use the roll off
