I cant speak towards the exact instance you are referencing as I was not a DM on N2. However I will say in defense of that DM that 90% of the people that came through during PAX South were wearing Cap of the North . This caused a lot of confusion for players between natural and magical cold damage. Your DM might have been thinking you were referencing the wrong token, which is rather easy to do after explaining 30 times before your run how Cap of the North works they might have jumped the gun and assumed you were asking the same question.

Starting on the second day, as a coach, when I saw the Of the north come through I would explain to new players that it was just like a cat they could buy at Walmart so that magical and other types of cold might not be reduced by it. They all seemed to understand

Be a worthy upgrade/add-on to borg/borg replacement.

One of the most helpful things to my rules understanding was one year a coach why physically divided my tokens after tallying them and said something like: You can put these ones away, these ones have effects that aren't recorded on the party card, so keep them out for the DM in case they come up"

That’s what I do. As I tally stats I make a stack of everything that needs to stay out, a stack of everything that can be put up, and a stack of conditionals.

Me too
