It's not one Token that becomes permanent. You can put any qualifying Token in there. But if you missed the slide you can no longer put a token in there after a year.

Instead you can put in a Medallion of Nobility for permanent 2 damage reduction.

Also, I don't think a ring of heroism would work, as that will affect other stats on the party card. Or something that provides additional slots, like charm bracelets, in that it will still indirectly lead to a change on the party card. But that's just my opinion and I suspect it will all be sorted out here on the forums shortly.

Yeah, I'm sure all will be explained. I heard you could put charm bracelets in there as long as the xharms you add dont imoact the party card.

Meaning that after the year is up, everyone can put the medallion in?

So, any run you can put any token in for the year, and can vary it from run to run as you see fit?

I was wondering about slot expanders.

This does seem to be potential issue with the character generators if those aren't eliminated as options.

I think that's partly why it can't impact the party card. That way it doesn't matter if you don't put it in the app. Only you need to memorize the effect.

If it's allowed, Charm Necklace is better than Charm Bracelets. You could do a Charm of Brooching which then also equips Cloak of Shadowskin. For the other charms Mad Evoker's, Wil's Dragonheart, Shadow Shot, etc. There are enough good options.

I don't believe this is correct. I thought you could slot any Token for a year as long as it doesn't affect the party card. After a year the players that did not hit the 20 were still able to slot their Medallion of Nobility for -2 damage reduction. The players that did hit the 20 were able to keep the Token they slotted permanently. But maybe I'm wrong?

You’re kind of right, Rob. But it isn’t that any token gets slotted “permanently.” The bonus slot is permanent, not the token.

For one year, you can put in any token (that does not affect the party card). But you can use a different token on every run, if you want. It isn’t locked in permanently. So, for example, you can use FOP Bat whenever you Wizard, and FOP Panther when you Fighter.

If you slid a 20, you can do that forever.

If you missed, your only options for the bonus slot after year 1 are to use Medallion or Badge of Nobility for DR 2

I assume that’s why the caveat of nothing affecting the card. Jeff doesn’t want to make the app coders’ heads explode.

I would think you could use Charm Necklace, for example, so long as the three additional charms don’t change the card, like Urchin or Cadaver or Transmorph (?! - but you’d still turn it in) and aren’t wearing Charming items.
