Excellent poem. You have good taste in literature, my friend.

James wrote: I myself found that the TD experience isnt really to my taste, but its more my personal preferences and predilections at play than anything else. Despite that, I have to give respect where its deserved and I can see the hard work of the many great people going into that experience, so for that I say thanks!

My wife on the other hand is exactly the kind of person this speaks to, and she hurried back to do another run that she had lots of fun at, and I think you have a convert on your hands.

Welcome to the forums, James!

I'm glad you had the chance to try out TD, even if it wasn't your thing.
Kudos for being able to admit that, and also for understanding the love which some of us have for the game - including your wife!

My Sig.Other and I also have differing preferences for our convention fare... and it works out well for us, since we both have something to do. Plus, it's fun to wave goodbye to each other as GenCon starts, and say "See you Sunday!" knowing we'll have lots of stories to share later.

I hope we'll see her (or you) around again in the future!

Moongate Maze - This was a puzzle oriented run with 2 combat rooms and 5 puzzles. Fellurian (beautiful as always) is a great way to start of the adventure. I don't know how many attendants were serving her, but saw 3 of them. They were all great. i think the funniest gift to Felurian was a can of Pepsi. She was wary of it at first, but we convinced her it was aluminum and not iron. She tested it by licking the can and then accepted the gift. Very funny.

Baahaha, yes! I had so much trouble keeping a straight face during that can of Pepsi. Your crew definitely kept me on my toes. The soda was mixed with some lovely whiskey last night, so Felurian thanks you.

Lol! I'm glad you were having as much fun as we were. And thank you for accepting my Weezer song. It was my last run and I ran out of ideas.

Maybe next time you will allow me to bring my vevuzula and still have the cleric heal me? Lol! I did get back stabbed by a party member to get me to stop once or twice...

So Mongo you maybe a subpar bard but you are a amazing troubadour I think you need to bring a ukulele or I could bring one for you.

I didn’t think of that... my kids have a bunch of ukuleles they used for a school musical choir presentation....

I don’t know how to play even those, though

Doh! I'm sorry about that Matt. Feel free to pitch it. Also I seem to have misplaced my exp cards as well =P If I left those in your car would you let me know?

You did an awesome job as Felurian. WIth our group of people who had been through a bunch of times already you did some really great ad-libbing of some lines at the end there. And thanks for egging me on during my rendition of Rapper's Delight while your servant laughed!

SnakeEyes (Eric) wrote: Thanks to all the volunteers! You made this con so enjoyable...so enjoyable in fact, I just kept adding run after run and wore myself out by Sunday. From the DMs to the behind the scenes people, the NPCs, and everyone in-between, you are all troopers. Case in point, I was on the second to last run of MM on Saturday and everyone was still at the top of their game including the Fae Moongate Dancer who was as nimble and active as she was on Friday afternoon.

Like others have said, the dungeons seemed that much more fine-tuned and the new puzzles were fun. I will also highly recommend GHC to newbs as it is so much more laid-back than GC.

It was also great to have more time to chat with everyone in person. I'm hoping TD will be back at GHC next year because if it is, I will be there.

Indeed, I did forget to mention the friendly (and persistent) coaches who helped us patch together many a party filled with mostly new players. And while I'm at it, I'll mention the DMs who all kept things moving and fun for everyone.
