Honeycombs and key tokens for certain donation amounts are not prizes. Yet no one reported receiving any.

Has anyone been able to get a actual response from WB yet? I got a "let me look into that and get back to you" on Monday. I messaged this afternoon for an update and brought up that this seems to be a widespread issue. (no reply yet)

No response from my inquiry either. Been 6+ months so I don't expect they have any intention of providing any response.

I purchased Items from the Worldbuilder's market and donated to them multiple times in the past. I was happy to donate to the true dungeon team up, I happen to be the first person to donate as I was listening to Pats stream when it went live. Two months after I donated to the true dungeon team up I moved. I attempted to log into my Worldbuilders account to update my address and was given a message that my worldbuilders account no longer existed. I have attempted to contact Worldbuilders multiple times and have not received any communication from them at all. So even if I did win something from the drawing I will most likely never receive it. I don't expect to ever receive my honeycomb either. I didn't donate expecting anything in return I was happy to help support two organizations that I enjoy working with. The horrible mismanagement of this situation though has convinced me that I most likely will not donate to Worldbuilders again in the future.

Worldbuilders does good work in helping to drive more people into charitable giving that might not have given or given as much. It helps drive a better image for gamers being responsible socially as well.

I definitely don't think anything inappropriate is happening there. Like most small businesses (especially non-profits) - they aren't run by professional fund-raisers or what you would expect from a larger organization.

With that said, failing to communicate with your donor pool in a timely manner doesn't take the Red Cross to resolve. As odd as it sounds, they should consider having some of the proceeds from the next fundraiser they run go to hiring a small tech firm to acquire and implement a mini-erp (not talking SAP - thinking more like a Symbol barcoding and inventory system integrated into quickbooks and mailchimp.) They could likely have it up and running for $50K or less and would resolve 95% of the complaints about them.

They are a small group - I don't expect Amazon fulfillment but getting a monthly email on the status of shipping, etc would be nice. I think most of us would have been cool with an email in January that they are anticipating shipments to go out by the end of the year and updates monthly on progress towards that goal.

I'll suggest it to them in an email but I don't have the time to do more than point them in relevant directions myself.

I mean, nobody is guaranteed anything and so threading like this would only result in an infinite loop on the internet.
This could be amusing
Wait, please continue.

The 5 people who won the TD with friends should have had a good idea of what they were getting.

Anyone who spent $30+ should have a reasonable minimum expectation on what they were getting (ie: the wax)

Past that yea, no idea if any of the other prizes were announced beforehand.

Add in their wording here -
",,,,2.) By donating $30 or more you will be guaranteed to receive one Worldbuilders Exclusive Auri's Honeycomb token for use in True Dungeon adventures. (Only 500 tokens available.)

As an added bonus, Auri's Honeycomb can be transmuted into Auri's Candle at the True Dungeon website. (This premium only available while supplies last.)

We're not yet done! For $1,000 or more donated at one time, you'll receive TEN of the Worldbuilders Exclusive Auri's Honeycomb tokens + one Worldbuilders Exclusive Taborlin's Key token. (Only 35 of these $1,000 donor packages are available while supplies last. We will place a note here when that threshold has been crossed.) ...."

Those were "guarantees" and not prizes.

I have received a " you win" package with 2 Generic 10 packs. No Auri's received, but definitely donated before we hit the limit.

also, what Edwin said.

I didn't really care about any 'prizes'. I'm not normally lucky enough to win (although I did get packs woohoo!). I just REALLLY love the books. Don't we all? I bought the signed hardbacks several years back. The money for them also went to World builders. Even before that I did the PYP for KVothe's Bloodless. If Taborlin's key stayed a PYP this year I would have bought that too. Did I mention I love the books?? Talking to Pat at Origins is in my top 3 TD moments. 1. Bachelor party run 2. Jeffgorgon 3. Briefly talking to Rothfuss outside of TD where we all trade and talk TD. So yes, if there is a post regarding my passions I will totalllllllly post what little data I have to help out others who are waiting by the mailbox.

Hopefully this tastes yummy if you enjoy savory foods.

The limit was actually not reached before the end of the campaign, so everyone who donated $30+ should be getting one.
