Consider that they had to reduce in house staff both before and after the drawing.

I don't know of course, but I believe donors will be getting what they were promised.

Per that same blog they are doing all the shipping this year without volunteers they have have had in the past. It also sounds like they are shipping out more stuff (though I could have misunderstood that). Fred K mentioned in this thread that they are operating 20% at their normal level. Not certain where he got that number, but if that is the case then even under there best scenario's it takes a couple months. At 20%.... You could be correct that donors won't get anything, but I am very doubtful of that.

I'm curious if anyone has gotten any physical prizes yet or if everyone is twiddling their thumbs like we are. I'm fine with waiting, but it's been two months since we've had an update and it wasn't really much of an update.

I think they will ship eventually. What I don’t like is the lack of transparency (not great in a non-profit.)

I would be happy if they just posted once per month what is happening even if it is to say, “shipping will take 18 months, please be patient.”

On the other side, they did post that a check was written to heifer in April. That was good to see. Hopefully we’ll see pics of what it yielded in a month or two. Heifer normally sends big donors pictures of what the money did. In this case, $1M will do amazing things for some of the poorest people on Earth. This can change the lives of many thousands of people. Just seeing that even if we don’t get our gifts this year would feel good.

I wonder if the extra honeycombs go into the random bucket to go out to nerds who donated in the “draw a name and give a prize” part of the drawing? It would make more sense for tokens to ship to the subset of individuals who donated through the TD portals thought it would be a smaller drawing and would not be an advertisement or growth opportunity that putting the rest of the 500 into a random tub and shipping them out would be.

From a new player perspective I suspect the extra are shipped to random players, much like random books are shipped to random donors who accept books in the hopes of reading future books from the same or similar authors. Monetarily the books (or tokens or other games) are advertisement money and not worth anything in that case (helping them be charity). Tax and charitable contributions (and law) is an interesting game, I don’t know if I’m winning at that game though.

Just curious if the transmute window will be extended since no reports of any honeycombs being received have been posted.

As the last date to transmute is December 1, 2022, this request feels premature.

I just recieved a package from Worldbuilers. Iniside was a note saying that I won a prize which was a random token 10 pack. There was no candle token in the package.

Interesting, that wasn't one of the listed prizes, unless that is one of the "various sizes" under Colossal Token Packs (see below).
