Yes. Per them you're anonymous on the public feed, not anonymous to WB, so they can still draw your name.

With as much as smak has posted this week, anyone else starting to think his account has been hacked? ;)

That's just the 2020 effect, nothing is unexpected this year XD

I have a couple of questions and i'm sorry if they have been asked before.

1. Who does the drawing for the 50 TD prizes?
2. When are winners notified?
3. Will it be TD or WB who notify us?

My understanding is:

1. WB does the drawing.
2. No one is notified, the prize just shows up if you win one.
3. N/A

Logistically I understand, just commenting.

Worldbuilders is legit, though perhaps not up to today's standards of tracking things. They have a small team that does a great job with the resources they have. I have personally worked with them and can attest to their legitimacy.

Historically, different teams on the Worldbuilders fundraiser manage their own prize draws, though with a partner like True Dungeon that may be different. I haven’t seen anything stating who is handling the True Dungeon team prizes, so it may be Worldbuilders or True Dungeon.

Anonymous donors can receive prizes, assuming they selected to do so when placing their donation. Anonymizing merely makes one’s name on the donation page obfuscated, but personal information (e.g. name, address) is shared with Worldbuilders.

There is a large Worldbuilders lottery that anyone who selected to receive prizes from will be part of, regardless of which team(s) they donated to, and additionally they will be part of team-based draws if they donated to a team. If you donated to the True Dungeon team, for example, your name will be in both draws, one entry per $10 donated.

I haven't heard anything negative about World Builders, but it does seem strange they don't notify the winners. Especially if the prizes are of a large monetary value or particularly large like the Wyrmwood table.

IIRC, the table prize is to create your own table through the web, so it's not like a table is going to just show up on your doorstep unannounced...

Larger prizes, be they deemed ‘larger’ for physical or monetary reasons, are an exception to the “show up on one’s doorstep” rule. Wyrmwood tables, JoCo Cruise tickets, and favor rings fall into this category, if you win one of those someone will reach out to you.

They don’t reach out if you win a Selas Flower token, personal experience speaking. I think I got a tracking number though?

It makes sense to me that logistically, they probably get a TON of free stuff donated, draw for it all, and send it all out.

There are a LOT of people who donate, and the prizes are generally not their main concern.

I had a graphic novel show up unexpectedly with note that said, " please donate this if you don't want it"

Ultimately they probably have a master list somewhere of all winners (speculation, but likely required for tax purposes?) but have probably had enough people asking not to have their names published that if WB didn't keep people anonymous, they would see fewer donors.

I can see the skeptical side (why not tell us who won what unless you're hiding something), but ultimately that feels very cynical to me, and I choose to focus on what I have rather than what I might have had, or what someone else has.
