Dang! I didn't realize that this ended Dec 15. I was waiting until after the Holidays to get this sorted out.

If anyone has an extra Honeycomb available, please let me know.
I'm looking to buy one, or would be happy to make the donation to Worldbuilders instead.

I will happily give you a honeycomb in exchange for you donating $30 to worldbuilders, and covering shipping from me to you.

I suspect there are two (or more) drawings. It looks like there is a master Worldbuilders drawing as well as sub-drawings for groups like Rothfuss, True Dungeon, and the D&D groups as they all have different prizes.

As I understand it, you are entered into the master drawing for participation in the sub-groups donations.

I had heard from one of their support people that the True Dungeon drawings would be done this week but it also sounds like they were overwhelmed with participation more broadly with Worldbuilders.

I would think the TD section, only being a small number of drawings (3?) that those can be done and those people notified because, otherwise, they won’t get to do the runs in V3B where their names were drawn.

I wouldn’t think they will be working any more this week - my guess is we’ll hear something towards the middle of next week. The good news is it raised a lot of money for one of the better charities out there, we’ll get cool swag coming in time, and V3B isn’t sold out so there are a lot of opportunities to still do the runs.

Yes, at least as to the traditional Worldbuilders drawing. (Unknown if this will also apply to the TD prizes.) Here’s the relevant Information from their FAQ:

When will winners be announced, and if I win, how will I be notified?
Well…. they won’t be announced.

For one, it’s a privacy issue. It would be rude of us to suddenly post up everyone’s names without asking first.

For another thing, we really can’t e-mail you all individually, sort all that out, and post thousands of winners up online. It’s just not possible. Not even with the amazing abilities of the whole Worldbuilders staff- and besides, there’s more important work to be done.

If you win a prize, it will show up at your house. Keep in mind that we’re using a bulk shipping service to save money, so they’ll take a little longer to get to you. Also, you may have noticed there’s a pandemic, and that also can cause some really inconvenient delays. We will do everything we can to get the prizes in the mail as efficiently and safely as possible.

We are very much aware of the challenges involved in getting last year’s prizes out the door, as well as the Indiegogo prizes. We’ve learned a lot from both experiences, so…we’re ready to find entirely new challenges this year.

Fair warning: this is a random drawing, and therefore the odds are excruciatingly fickle, if not outright cruel at times. May they ever be in your favor.

Our advice is to assume you didn’t win, and then be pleasantly surprised if something shows up on your doorstep.

They have literally thousands of prizes to distribute. I’ve won something every year I’ve given to Worldbuilders. I just didn’t know for sure until the prize package arrived.

My guess is that you can contact Worldbuilders if you happen to move between the time you donate and the time prizes are sent, and ask them to update your shipping address. I don’t speak for WB, though.

They are legit but small. The charity they work with is one of the best.

Oh I'm not doubting they are good. Just the fact there's no way to validate who won what/if you won something. It seems a bit shady.

Logistically I understand, just commenting.

It is pretty hard to publish winners when they donate anonymously.
