we are a little over 2 weeks out from VTD3b. does anyone have an idea when drawing is? i'm also curious if anyone has heard about when the new tokens will arrive?

I recall an email update saying drawing was before Xmas and packages will be mailed starting Jan 4th.

I completely missed that email. I wonder if that means 2021 tokens are expected before Jan 4 (so Jeff can get them to Worldbuilders) and then that means we do still have a decent shot of getting 2021 tokens before V3b. Fingers crossed.

I checked in with them last week. They said the drawings will be done this week but wasn't sure which day.

I don't think I got that e-mail. I've got the initial receipt from when I made my donation, and then an e-mail from their team answering my question about anonymous donations. What was the address that it got sent from? I'd like to search for it in my spam folders, maybe it got caught somehow.

Email has long been deleted. Not sure which subscription list it was a part of. IIR it listed them as being closed from 24th thru the 3rd, drawing was done already and packages were going to start being mailed out on the 4th. I sent a email twice on a question to them with no luck on any response though.

You mean for the prizes. I thought you mean they were shipping rewards. I knew the prizes were 2020's.

I'm pretty sure the drawing hasn't happened yet. They said it wouldn't be until sometime this week and I'm pretty sure we would have seen something from anyone picked in the forums by now.

I have not heard of anyone being notified by email of any fund raiser prize won by a drawing in years past. This is also reflected in their FAQ:

Topic - When will winners be announced, and if I win, how will I be notified?

For one, it’s a privacy issue. It would be rude of us to suddenly post up everyone’s names without asking first.

For another thing, we really can’t e-mail you all individually, sort all that out, and post thousands of winners up online. It’s just not possible. Not even with the amazing abilities of the whole Worldbuilders staff- and besides, there’s more important work to be done.

If you win a prize, it will show up at your house. Keep in mind that we’re using a bulk shipping service to save money, so they’ll take a little longer to get to you. Also, you may have noticed there’s a pandemic, and that also can cause some really inconvenient delays. We will do everything we can to get the prizes in the mail as efficiently and safely as possible.

We are very much aware of the challenges involved in getting last year’s prizes out the door, as well as the Indiegogo prizes. We’ve learned a lot from both experiences, so…we’re ready to find entirely new challenges this year.

Fair warning: this is a random drawing, and therefore the odds are excruciatingly fickle, if not outright cruel at times. May they ever be in your favor.
