I suspect folks might be volunteering just to get a badge which would be sad.

Wonder how much flights are.

Just under $500 from Indy

$300 from Milwaukee. I'm thinking about it...

Certified Coach get $350. You are making money at that point...lol.

Did they raise the incentive? It has been $250 for a long time

Hmmm... might be worth looking into volunteering, since the con's local to me.

Fixed that.

If you haven't volunteered yet, it is a lot of fun! I've only done it once, but thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm sure some of the longer term volunteers could give more support.

Just so everyone sees it...volunteers get a hotel room Monday night...so cheaper flights are available on Tuesday on the way home.

Coming out as a Volunteer is one thing,
Coming out as a Player,
very hard to do at this point,
All the good hotels are gone
And all the 4 day passes too.

Yes, but for this year only, because of the short notice and longer hours. The application is very clear that the "raise" is a one-time thing.

Yes, Tuesday is better. But I'd still be spending $300 versus a $350 stipend. But the other benefits make it tempting.

Yep, and that works out to about $1.25 per hour.

edit: Oh wait. Cost of getting from airport to hotel. Hmm, so a wash.

Another edit $230 from Chicago.

@Fiddy $299 if you fly out Wednesday and come back Tuesday. As tempting as that is I am going to have to pass this year.

Looks like people may scalp tickets to Pax West. That seems awful to me. I found 4 day badges on some other sites at jacked up prices.

I considered volunteering but I don’t have enough vacation to pull it off this year. Maybe next year, that’s been on my list of cons to go to at least once anyway.
