We have come a long way since our humble beginnings at a small Hyatt ballroom in 2003. We have had such a great time, and we have made some wonderful friends on that journey. Thank you all for allowing us to continue to bring our adventures to Gen Con.

O snap! You may be right. Does anyone remember which ballroom it was? Here is a map to hopefully jog someone's memory.

The room also apparently wasn't posted on TD's website. Though the Wayback Machine does have some other interesting info from that first year.

Including who won the contest . (It was Roger Howell)

Q. How difficult will the True Dungeon™ module be?

Very tough. While not in the league with "The Tomb of Horrors", we have fashioned a very challenging adventure.

Well, it is now (or next year, if you want to get all technical).

I’d like to buy a vowel please. :P
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Pale blue... Almost teal?

Hmm that is very light. The existing 3-stars like Charm of Health are not that light. Maybe it is a new classification? But then why use the "Relic" name on the fragments? Strange.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)
