I'm wondering if Gordon Jump is a false lead. A WKRP in Cincinnati Red's herring if you will.

Have we considered that Clue had three different endings?

Actually I think there were four: theater versions A, B, C, and a cable version where the three are blended together.

So, this morning I realized my thinking about this case had become very uptight.

Maybe everyone else already realized this, but in the Relic Recipe Fragment? riddle it says:

...
When days are long and three stars bright
The Dark Knight comes with special sight
...

It made me wonder if the "stars" in the poem refer to three of the stars in the image below?

Unfortunately for me I haven't been able to correlate this insight with clue progress, but just a thought...

I believe someone previously mentioned this.

I printed the image, took 9 magic penny sleeves, and used a sharpie to mark them as they overlayed the 9 actors.

I looked for patterns, and it seemed like some of them when overlayed have some dots that match up, but even so it didn't really look like anything to me.

If the images are numbered:

123
456
780

For instance if you overlay 6 and 8 a dot in the top right quadrant seems to match up.

Anyway - just posted in case anyone else noticed any patterns in overlaying the images on top of one another.

Yes, see post #359. The bottom line was:
"The original clue mentioned "three stars bright" -- The Three Musketeers, Star Trek 3, and maybe Strike-Out King???" I did not know where the Martin Mull picture came from and the Colleen Camp photo was from her biography, but may have been from somewhere else before that.

I am not sure if we are looking for the three brightest stars or stars where their picture is from a movie with/about the number 3? Maybe it's words from the movies which go with the word light: High Light, Police Lights, Star Light, show lights,...

I wrote a program to try to overlay the dots assuming the original image (which is 900x900) is divided into nine 300x300 squares.

I color coded them based on which of the original 9 squares.

TL;DR: I can't see any patterns here and at least on the pixel by pixel level there are no perfect overlaps.

Here's a more visible version with the dots rendered in white on black:

What do you make of the filename the image on Druegar's site had:

w3M5MWgJD.png

Looks like it could have been randomly generated, but also has 9 characters, the same as the number of actors.

I'm not sure if this is relevant or helpful, but Clue did have a fourth ending. It was cut as being to dark for the comedy nature of the film, but was left in the novel...

There is no way I am reading 31 page of this thread.

In days of yore, quite long before
The humans came to plunder more
A relic forged from goods of trade
By ancient hands the thing was made

Alas, for now, the method’s gone
To craft this fine phenomenon
‘Twas fractured by a hand of bronze
And now it’s just some polygons

This whole section sounds like it's referring to Dave. Dave has taken a "permanent" break from Token transmuting. Maybe he's coming back for GenCon and will be transmuting special Tokens in the Marriott.

Any reason why you numbered the last line 780 instead of 789?
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I like the simplicity in this thinking as it almost seems like overthinking may have set in and I really, really miss miss Dave. Always great to talk to, nice guy and the All Father of Tokens. (On another note, anyone else notice since he has been gone the Treasure pulls at every Con since have been "lacking"?)
