Hmmm. You make me wonder whether I should do Ro7P instead of the Ring of Heroism.. and then play the Assassin class.

Without even factoring in the Assassin skill, it might be worth it, since the Rod gives the extra HP and stat and saves bonuses.

I have a +2 HP bonus which technically I can't turn off - it's a part of my build (due to Deck of Many things, years ago.) It doesn't take a token... so technically it's allowed. But it would be on the same level as the Cogwind medallions.


Personally, i'm for allowing non-token bonuses. This is a 7 token challenge, and the other bonuses aren't tokens.

Also, I'd think that if someone dies, you could totally pick up their weapon & use it - as long as the player consented. Successful dungeoneering is about sharing resources.

I do agree if someone dies and you can use their weapon (NOT ARMOR) you should be able to use it. So if the Barbarian dies, the Paladin is getting a Deathcleaver.

If you are using the Assassin’s Crossbow that could save us alot if you are able to assassinate a few baddies. I suggest Raven slides first and if the dial is right near the twenty we go for a bump. Thoughts?

Wait then you would need the Lenses of Vital Insight though....crap.

I keep thinking that the cleric should be using a 3 eldritch set, 1. for the damage reduct from elements, 2 for enchanced healing, 3 for the level bump.

It is a valid idea. It does leave you completely open to attacks having no armor and no Cloak of Blending.

Yes he might drop the 2 TE boost and take the Cloak of Blending.

BTW - the Druid won't have any real damage buffs for spells and the builds I saw previous were mostly healing based (hence the eldritch items - yes that gets 5th level) but no Focus, Rings, etc for damage bump. I would say some ranged damage but nothing extreme.

Yeah the druid would just be helping in a ranged attack only, spell surge will do 40 points. So they call do 60 points in 2 rounds. Not alot of damage but more than the Monk, Ranger, Barbarian, Paladin, Cleric and Fighter can do.

If the cleric restores the spell surge it is 80 in two rounds.

Agreed. The question is if we can't kill a ranged monster then why not save the spells for Room 7 and take the push damage?

I am not convinced that we can stand around and do nothing in a combat room and only take push damage.

This has me thinking though. What if we are going about this wrong.

What if instead we do try one shot kill any monsters. You changes Asher's to Bracer of Quivering Palm and Raven does work as an Assassin. No one else sides except to bump you two if the are lined up and near the 20. No one else needs weapons and that would free up a lot of tokens for defense.

It would be all about how well you and Raven slide.


Okay probably not for this run. But an assassination work should be in the works when we can work out the details before.

It is an interesting idea. I would say yes if there was some time of item like Amulet of the Tinkerer that effected Fae.
