When you are in the screen to create your post, look in the toolbar (the one with the different sized fonts and colours).... there's a square blue-green picture with a grey chainlink icon. If you click that, you can cut & paste the URL for the image you want (which you have copied from your browser bar earlier) into the section which says "URL" - Just make sure you only have one set of "http://" - you may need to delete the one which is pre-filled for you in that URL bar.

Once you've got the image address in the bar, hit the "insert" button, and it'll do the code for you.

At least, it should : )

So if it were a picture from my phone, I would have to post it somewhere like my Instagram account (follow me if you like pics of board games - that's pretty much all I post) so it would have a URL, right?

THANKS, RAVEN! (I saw Edmonton won tonight! :woohoo: )

Yes Brian - You'd need to get it online somehow first. I don't think this forum has a direct import function (not that I can see, at least).

And yeah, I think Edmonton must've won. It got very noisy outside for a few minutes last night. I wasn't watching the game, tho - I was busy Terraforming Mars ; )

bpsymington wrote: Several parties tried to do this during the prep period. For NORMAL level groups, we decided to reward this by allowing them to successful teleport out without having to face Death - they was NOT part of the original room description. HC and NM groups that tried this were told they still had to face and defeat Death. I understand some parties were upset that they were denied the solution to the room, but it was meant to be a combat room - the "solution" was to defeat Death. I apologize for any misunderstanding or confusion.

Are you kidding? This kind of easter egg is totally awesome!

For HC/NM groups having to fight death is fine. I guess there could have been some story script added, e.g.:

"You feel the teleportation magic begin to take hold, but then it snaps back, as if being thwarted by a powerful enemy."...

So in room 7, why were there 2 combat boards? Was it a 2-stage fight? I didn't see that mentioned in the write-up and I was curious about that.

By the way thanks for writing these up, I have enjoyed reading them!

The gargoyle board was just a decoy.

You had to initiate combat with Death by picking up the hammer.

You could putter around for quite a while trying to figure out how to fight the gargoyle.

Yeah, I was less than pleased that once my group finally figured out that the npc at the beginning gave us a clue as to what to do in the prep round in order to escape the room that we were denied the success of the solution. I don't care if my group was nightmare or not. That was a case of where the solution should have been the solution.

I was disappointed we didn't get to see the Gargoyle in full action.

However, given the space issues (particularly the amount of vertical clearance), I understand why that wasn't feasible....

It wasn't meant to be a clue as to what to do in the prep round. The hammer teleported the party to safety (as the NPC said) after Death was defeated. The solution was to fight and defeat Death.

Actually it was.

If the entire party touched the hammer and held it up. And you were playing Normal, it teleported you to safety without fighting death

I think you missed the part where he said that even though it wasn't intended to do that, because it was such a clever solution, and followed the directions to the letter, they changed the scenario to allow for people to avoid fighting death.

It wasn't intended, but it became that way after the change.
