I think part of this was because of the 100+ pulls that were happen in the epi room but also the trolley ride down to the dungeon. I believe that added 12 minutes to each run. Which would have been fine had I known that I needed to allow at least an extra 12 minutes.

Yes, this became an issue for those of us who booked runs 2 hours apart. That is normally do-able at GenCon/WYC/GHC but resulted in being late for your second run at TDC.

That was me, too.

I missed not being able to grab treasure chips and running off so I could draw later. But I get why there were no chips

What was the logic behind no chips?

Several of us wanted to save our draws for GenCon, and so we were annoyed that we had to draw them there. Plus, needing to draw tokens there significantly delayed the exit time.

I don't know for sure. My guess? 2016 loot, so 2016 chips. And, Jeff probably didn't want people doing what you wanted to do.

I think (don't know) that the intent was to have so you couldn't take them to Gen Con. I think (again don't know) that the intent is that GC 2017 starts a new season so you should only be using 2017 Treasure Chips since it will be 2017 treasure. I imagine Origins is going to be the same way. So you will be able to use GC 2017 chips until Origins 2018 (assuming there will be an Origins 2018).

So in theory does that mean you could use leftover 2016 chips at Origins this year?

That was a problem for me as well.

Don't quote me on it because I don't know, but that was my understanding.

You mean I could wear a heavy, long sleeved shirt with a magnetic bracelet and stick my hand in the treasure box? I hope we don't go back to people sticking their hands in the box. There may not have been many sneaky people in the past, but I would prefer not giving anyone that chance.

One of the challenges that comes with an expanding game and player base is that the norms and culture that prevail may begin to shift. Common understandings may no longer be common. It may not be possible to rely on trust and more rules and controls may be needed.
