Wow... And I was hoping it was just a poorly named thread title. Chip was awesome and this is so surprising and saddening I can't even put my feelings into words... Condolences to his family. :(

Chip was always friendly and was super helpful to me when I had some last minute transmutations right before a run. My condolences and heartfelt wishes to his family.

Very sad to see this.

Chip was very fun to run with, enhanced enjoyment of the game and was a great storyteller.

What a huge loss to the TD community.

My prayers are with his family.
I used to be indecisive, but now, I'm not so sure. ;)

Wow, that just sucks. Condolence to the family. I second the request for a commemorative token nest year.

One of my favorite memories of Chip was a group of us in a banquet room, as he told the story of how he was burgled and then helped with a sting to capture the thieves. The parts of that story that stuck with me were the phrase "halfling toe ring," because when do you ever hear those three words strung together, and his compassion for the female half of the much-less-than-A team who stole from him. I doubt I would have been as forgiving if I'd been in his shoes.

A great guy, and I'm sorry I didn't get to know him better.

Chip was easily one of the kindest, most generous people I've had the pleasure of getting to know. I had the privilege of getting to know him as a friend when we carpooled to GHC last fall and the adventures we had in and outside of the convention. What a terrible loss. This is heartbreaking. :(

Chip, it was so great to meet you. Your happy spirit was evident by your contagious smile.

The family asked that no funeral arrangement information be posted here. Thank you for your understanding.

Understood. Is there a charity to which donations could be made in his memory?
