I'm half of two additional tickets for this slot. We're both newbs to TD, but looking forward to it and starting our learning curve now!

Cool. I've played a couple of times before. Let me know if you have any questions. Any classes you are interested in playing?

I don't think we're too attached to any class yet -- we're experienced fantasy role-players, so we've probably each played most classes sometime in the past.

If I were to generalize, I'd say I normally play "magic" classes and my friend (Andy) is more "martial". If I ranked them today, with my very limited knowledge, and trying to compensate for the combat system (you do *not* want me doing the Rogue Reflex checks!)...

Eric: Wizard (either race), Druid, Cleric, Bard, [any martial], Rogue [last]

I'll try to get Andy on here to provide his own feedback soon (of course, we have time), but Dwarf Fighter and Barbarian have been favored classes in the past.

Hi Jon and Eric!

This will be my first time trying TD and I'm looking forward to it. As Eric mentioned, my preference for a class would probably be something like Dwarven Fighter, Barbarian or maybe even a Cleric. But I'm game to try almost anything!

Andy

Cool. I haven't tried the rogue yet so might want to give it a try.

I know I'm not planning on dropping $8k on a MegaToken set anytime soon :silly: -- but are there any semi-common items that "we" first-timers might want to pick up in the hall before we run at 5pm to augment our item draw?

I know I've seen the buckets of TD tokens at multiple stands in the past, and if spending some small amount of money can increase survival and/or enjoyment, I'd at least consider it...

Thanks for your opinion!

Aw come on, everybody else it doing it. You don't want to be the ONE player this year who hasn't dropped eight large on tokens now, do ya...?
Have you looked it up in the TDb?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously.
Can we all please keep Hanlon's Razor in mind before making a comment?

Well your ticket comes with a bag of ten tokens and sharing is encouraged. Most of the party usually survives with those in normal mode. And the ticket is expensive as it is already.

Yeah, that's what I've been reading, but given the ticket price, another $5-10 wouldn't be terrible to "invest". :)

I guess we'll see if we hear from any more of our party and such -- can't plan/purchase too much if we don't know what classes we'll play...
