The beholders lethargy ray forced the ranger and monk to only slide one puck upon a missed save. So there is precident in a module for both the ranger and monk to slide 1 puck.

I would go with:

Cleric

+3 Baton of Focus
Lenses of Sage Speed
Amulet of the Champion
Pharacus' Greater Cloak of Destiny
Relsa's Ring of Supreme Focus
Ring of Greater Focus
Pantaloons of the Deeper dark
Boots of the Four Winds
Rod of Seven Parts
Greater Holy Symbol of Pelor

Per Jeff, rangers must slide two pucks every time they make a melee attack. However, they may attack with only one melee weapon--either by choice or circumstance. If attacking with only one melee weapon, rangers must still slide two pucks--one empty and one loaded with a weapon token.

This will be incorporated into the DMG Soon TM .
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I seriously doubt that was the intent, but I'll confer with the grande fromage.

Awesome - while conferring I'd be curious if a ranger can simply choose to present 1 weapon in the coaching room, and if so can they slide normally, or do they slide an extra empty puck.

Before the stack of common weapons was available, groups with only the starter packs sometimes struggled to find an offhand weapon for the Ranger. I don't know that I ever sent a Ranger into the dungeon without an offhand, but we scrambled from time to time.

I guess you can also ask the question does a rust monster have to hit ac ten to hit redoubt and then does the redoubt become useless for the rest of the dungeon after failing a saving throw?

Shhh. Don't give Incognito any ideas.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

May I present: Illien, Bard Troubadour, Bane of Grind DMs:

Briano's Blessed Bodhran
Cloak of Blending
RoSP Complete - Voucher - Bard Troubadour
Ring of Spell Storing

With these 4 tokens the Bard Troubour is able to cast Enhanced Bardsong in up to 3 rooms (4 with Cleric's Restore Spell).

In round 1 in each of these rooms Illien casts Enhance Bardsong with Briano's granting:
+4 to hit, +6 to damage for the party.

In subsequent rounds, Illien chooses whether to continue as is or switch to no instrument and Song of Support, granting either of:
+4 to hit +6 to damage for the party
or
+2 to hit, +2 to damage, +2 to AC, and +2 to saves for the party

Illien may never be targeted by a monster, as he's wearing Cloak of Blending and not performing an "offensive action."

Illien has 6 open token slots still, which could be used to make him super duper hard to get even with AOE or non targeted abilities (Charm of Broocking, Pharacus Greater Cloak, Khing's Ring of Supreme Evasion, Boots of the Marauder, Gloves of Glory, SRoEC, Ioun Stone Topaz Trilliant, etc.)

Monster abilities are part of the module - no need to answer these up front.

There have been rust monsters - people who have the modules for those years could look it up and tell us what the impacts were of being hit.

From the tokendb
tokendb.com/token/cloak-of-blending/

"the wearer cannot be visually targeted by the monster with a melee or ranged attack. However, some creatures are capable of locating prey via non-visual means, including scent or sound. This cloak does not provide protection against non-visual detection."

He can be targeted, but it does make it less likely.

It might be interesting to codify what that means.

I'd be pretty upset if a DM said: Look - you're singing, the monster can tell where you are - it attacks.

I'd expect at minimum that attacks to a singing bard from a monster who can't see it and usually attacks via sight to suffer the "blinded" penalty of 50% miss chance.

At best I'd expect that unless the monster's design specifically allows it to target via scent, vibration, hearing, etc. (for example maybe the Lava Beast at the end of Into the Deeperdark had no eyes) simply couldn't target.

Correctly that is why I said less likely vs your never be. Anything that uses senses other than sight to locate its prey would be able to target you.

I believe Silence is a target spell not an Area Affect spell. Correct?
