We are working with Pat to create events located inside the twilight faerie world of "The Fae" -- as well as another one that starts at a unremarkable inn inside a small farming community.

Interesting.

I thought the original plan was to chase the Mind Flayer through the planes of existence.

However, looks like the partnership with Patrick Rothfuss (started with Kvothe's Bloodless) is taking things in an unexpected direction.

Are there RPG sourcebooks with monster stats for the critters in this setting? Or is everything just in the novels for now?

The Fae is a demi-plane and so is Pat's more mundane world. They are chasing the mind flayer through these planes -- and then on to more in 2018 and 2019. Clues about those planes were dropped in 2016.

There is no sourcebook...other than what Pat and I come up with.

Tinker packs and talent pipes, bad ass lutes, and of course a well constructed cloak of many pockets.

I coached him for BHM Puzzle.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

There was that movie with The Rock in it. That would make for an epic combat.

this thread got me to read the Patrick Rothfuss books mentioned. They are excellent! Now I know what's behind the "kvothe's bloodless" I bought this year... :) I'm looking forward to learning more about how next year's TD will incorporate the story elements......
