TOPIC: New Magnetic Wand for token draws? Cool!

I like the bulk pack idea, and the wand.

Packs of 5 or 10 would be great, but they would have to be drawn from a closed chest or sack as well.

Jeff would need to hide any specially coloured backs that would be visible in clear plastic packing.

packaging like the tokens we get at checkin would be best.

IIRC there used to be 2 25k bars in the treasure mix. I saw one pulled on a Team Synergy run.

Maybe that will be the number of orbs.

I doubt there will be any orbs in the boxes.

Since Jeff said there would be some I expect some. Now that might mean 2 in all the treasure mix the entire con, but I don't know why people are doubting there will be any.

I'm also looking at about 200 pulls and would be ecstatic if I can hit the aforementioned numbers. It would be my best Gen Con other than that one unusual year. Last year I pulled my first ever UR out of the Treasure Box with about 150 pulls. Still have yet to see a 5K or 10K bar.

This year's posted mix is substantially richer than the mix I have seen discussed in a prior year, which was posted by Dial/Eversuede from the year he helped run the mixer (or so I recall - my memory is hazy on this) as:

Uncommons 38%
Rares 38%
Monster Bits 23%
Special 1%

Special included a mix of UR, volunteer, transmuted, reserve, and one of each of the year's relics, a handful of 5,000 GP tokens, and two 25,000 GP tokens.

This was posted after GenCon 2014 I believe.

Lots of player reporting on the mix from GenCon 2015 put the monster bit ratio substantially below the 35% posted for this year.

I don't know if there is enough data to estimate the "special" ratio in 2015 - but can say that it was much closer to 1% than 5% on my draws. Also I think Potion Distilled Healing counted as a "special" in 2015, which is sort of... meh (worth less than a monster bit to me).

Here's the post of people's actual experience from last year and it really doesn't look like monster ingredients came close to 23%. I had a little over 18% last year and seemed to have done better than most. A lot of people were reporting results closer to 10%.
