For the right price, I'll take them.

Well, I have a minor rumor, major rumor and fate token that are looking for a good home. ;)
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Something like this?

Jeff Martin wrote: I'm working on token dispensers for 2017, and I hope to have a prototype at this year's Gen Con.

It will basically be made up of 10 four-feet high tubes with a single stack of tokens inside them. They will be aligned in a row over a hopper and each tube will have a string-loaded pull handle that can be used to drop one token from the tube at a time. So, if you have 3 pulls coming, you can take all three pulls from Tube #7 or do something like one of each from Tubes #3, #1 and #7. They will all fall into a hopper that directly the falling tokens into a cup. The player then dumps their cups contents into a hand or red solo cup nearby.

It should be fast and fun -- and reloading the tubes will be done by just swapping out pre-loaded PVC tubes. This way we can put any color and any texture chip into the mix.

Here is a rough mock-up of the design:

Sorry to pee in your corn flakes.
Of course, if some folks didn't abuse the more immersive experience of treasure drawing, TD wouldn't need to resort to such measures.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

If the tokens from the PVC machine dropped into a treasure chest that you then opened to reveal your loot, that would bring back a bit of the treasure box feel.

A change is going to be a change no matter what and you'll never please everyone.
I think the current wand and box of bags is a good solution.

Designing some overly complex sorting machine is just going to allow for it to break and it will be costly.

If the wand idea fails they can still resort to a "dig for it quick" backup plan.
Sweet a combat room, we won't take damage!

I will do my usual cataloging of pulls. It will be nice that I will know about how many I should have pre Gen Con this year. Around 650 over the entire con. Should work out to 6 UR, 3 Relics and 45k gold if my math is right.

I'm anticipating 200-210 pulls from m group. I wouldn't be unhappy with a lower trophy percentage. I think that number is going to mess with the Golden Fleece market pretty serious ly.

My group should be doing around 550 token pulls. I'd be VERY happy if the percentages work out to what is listed above. That would be the best token pull GENCON we've had other than the special one.

While that % of monster bits will be nice, I am sure a good number will be saved in anticipation of a new story arc transmute.
