@Mike - how about this. They are approximitely the same rarity level as an UR. Fair?

I think something is lost in translation/verbiage.

I see it like this:
To me, I spend $1000 and get 4-5 YYs but only 1 ZZ. That makes the ZZ more rare.

When I went back to look more closely I noticed I did not have 4-5 YYs but infact I had (1)A (1)B (1)C and (1)D now I feel that my ZZ is just as rare as the rest.

After that I found there was a F that I was missing and now to me F is more rare than the ZZ, but I do know that I could choose to get (4) F and get 1 and only 1 ZZ with it.

I rest happily knowing ZZ is still more rare because its restricted in access.


Hopefully that explains my view point.

Isn't it if you buy $1000, you get 5-6 URs? I thought I read you get 4 PYPs, 1 random, and the chance of another random UR.

You get 4 pick UR and there is a chance at 1 or 2 more. If you go condensed you are guarenteed the 1 with a small chance at the second. If you don't go condensed you run the risk of getting none. Its happend to quite a few folks including myself. But i'll conceed that it technically is 4 solid 2 possible for a total of 6 not the 5 I listed below.

For edification sake the chance of an additional purple in your condensed order is exactly the same as your chance of an additional purple in your non-condensed order.

Non condensed orders have 120 packs with a 1% UR insertion.
Condensed orders have the U/R tokens of 120 packs with a 1% UR insertion.

TECHNICALLY both options give you a higher chance than the raw numbers would allow as each set of 120 are pulled contiguously. Were completely random pulls set it would be statistically possible to pull 0 random UR tokens. It would also be possible to pull 5+

Assuming a random distribution, your odds in a 1k purchase are roughly (to within a percent):

• 0 URs - 29%
• 1 UR - 36%
• 2 URs - 22%
• 3 URs - 8.5%
• 4 URs - 2.5%
• 5+ URs - < 1/2%

I assume the goal is at least one UR per $1k order, but the method used to do that (taking token packs sequentially) is subject to misses, so it is best not to promise anything, personally I did a lot of $1k orders in 2014 and always had at least one UR (and two Golden Tickets!)

It's not a change. It's always been a chance on the random packs and ever since the condensed packs were made they are 80% of the time you'll get 1 UR and 20% of the time you'll get 2 URs. (100% on first and 20% chance on second). I bought in 2012 and ended up buying 3500 dollars worth and got the Golden Ticket on the last pack I opened. No URs in that which is very unlikely statiscially, but can still happen.
