The morning updates are in! We crossed over $5,500 in winning bids last night! Several returning bidders, a handful of new bidders who didn't bid quite enough to make the winning bids, and 2 new high bidders - Ambush Bug and Elf with a Gun!
Ambush Bug is a new favorite of mine as a hero(?) - here's his backstory: Irwin Schwab, or Ambush Bug, claims to have found the Ambush Bug suit after it fell from the planet Schwab (conveniently his last name), along with a sentient argyle sock which became his archenemy. He can teleport and, as a superpower, and can break the fourth wall, meaning he can read the internal dialogues of other characters.

Amazingly, still great deals out there. Necklace of fireballs under $100, Rubber Ducky Spirit Pet only $115, Relics under $150, Gold Nugget below $140, Goblet of Toasting going for $200 less than recent sales, Silver Ship tokens going for sub-$70, the enhanced group is only at $41 (just the whetstone sells for more than that!)

Of course, we still have URs below $35 - some still in the teens!

$6K will result in something special for in-person volunteers for one of the in-person cons this year!

I shared the names of what I've used so far with my sons (both college aged and comic book fans) - my oldest was surprised that DogWelder was new to me - he had known about it for quite some time.

To me the comic is an all-time classic and way better than the movie, but like you I also have a soft spot for the movie. I'm glad that Howard has a presence in the modern MCU, maybe one of these days he'll get another movie.

Wow - by far, this it the most we've raised in a TD auction so far. Thank you so much. Let's see where this goes? Some items are definitely below where they should be. The necklace of fireballs, the onyx set (should be at $300+), UR's under $30, etc.. And there is still the Golden Ticket available just waiting to be sniped!

First - I am in awe of the TD community. Your generosity and willingness to help is amazing. We raised a total of $5,930! $1,500 of that was raised just from unexpected tokens being donated to help the auction.

I'll start reaching out to winners tonight to work out the donations and shipping, etc.. It will be important that we coordinate this so I know who to credit for what when the donations start flowing in.

Last year Mary's Hands was able to help provide free organic produce for several hundred low income families. We expanded infrastructure and set up this year to do even more. These funds will go directly to seed, starts, and soil amendments (especially needed after the flooding last year) needed to fuel our expanded footprint. We will be placing the orders over the next 2 weeks then start planting the portion of starts we're doing ourselves early February. April we'll start putting things into the ground with, hopefully, food deliveries starting in mid to late May through October (possibly November) of this year.

I'm proud to be part of the TD community and we'll put these funds to good use right away.

Fred, thanks for all that you are doing to give food to so many that are hungry. You're making a real difference in the world.

Btw - answering the questions that came in. We were close enough to $6K for it to count. I’ll plan something cool for the volunteers either for Gencon or GHC.
