Hello all! It's time for our 2025 auction benefitting Mary's Hands!

I am making this an annual auction and adjusting the timing to better match when we make commitments to buy starts and seeds as well as soil amendments and organic fertilizers. We'll put in those orders by the end of January.

Our new auction starts at noon MST January 8th and runs to noon mst on January 22nd. One hit wonders will be the themed monikers and will be given to all bidders. I'm sure some will spur debate as to if they are really one hit wonders or not - it will be a fun aside as part the auction.

Ebay style bidding. Bidding up to $10 is in 25 cent increments, $1 increments from $10-$100, then $5 increments above $100. Shipping is $9.

First, an overview of what you’ll be helping…

Mary's Hands is a 501c3 Non-profit founded by my wife Isabelle and myself. It was named after my mother who tirelessly volunteered and helped others her whole life. We are fortunate enough to have land we can farm and built a program to grow food for who need it the most locally. The critical part of what we do is in delivering the food to affordable housing communities directly and helping them set up mercado-style markets where residents can come by and pick up whatever produce they need in a friendly and supportive environment. We grow what these communities are telling us they can't afford but would love to have. It's humbling to see people who can't afford high quality organic produce get restaurant-grade produce rather than cast-offs or seconds. You can find more information about our work at Mary's Hands

Your generosity helped us grow and distribute more than $20,000 worth of produce in 2024. This year we hope to increase that by at least 50%. Although the yields were similar to 2023, moving to much more frequent deliveries helped us increase how much was able to be used by the communities. Effectively, this meant about 25% more food being eaten.

Bidding will be ebay style with the winning bids paying through our donation portal for Mary's Hands. All winning bids are tax deductible as a donation to our 501C(3) non profit Mary's Hands!
