This is partly true. He did a massive amount last year ( 2023 pre order and early year ) but got bogged down to the point he didn’t have time. He had put out that he was going to cut them down for the 2024 season which he has. I do believe he is not longer running auctions. He did a set number with set values on his website and a few here but as of early dec when the pre orders started rolling out he stopped. I’m confident he will run more, but as of now, he has stopped.

Well that's kind of crappy for the Patrons (and no I was not a Patron this year). So much for a patron exclusive token, glad I didn't spend $600 on a patron code in one of the other auctions. Things like this are one of the reasons why I didn't pull the trigger on any 8K orders this year. I get the good intentions to help auctions fund but I don't agree with adding a patron exclusive token. I realize I may be in the minority here in terms of thinking this way and that's fine, to each his own.

FWIW the patron token has been added to 8k orders the past few years.

What would really be crappy if for people who buy an 8K after the first run is completed to be denied the token that comes with being a Patron. They still miss out on the experience of the run, regardless. Are early in the sales cycle Patrons more important than Patrons who buy between mid-January and September-ish?

I disagree. It's probably been 2 to 3 years for this practice.
Why should a later year Patron miss out on both the event and the token?

Less than 2 weeks before the auctions ends on 1/31 (succeed or fail).
Still a lot of good prices including augmented items and specially added items smart token prop and hireling baker!
