Less than a day to go! We've still got a ways to go to reach our goal, but I am confident that with some solid bids, we can reach funding, and people can still end up with some good deals.

Any update or is it a no go?

Alas, we have fallen short, and this auction has failed to fund. Thank you to everyone who bid. I hope another auction starts up soon and that you're able to win the things you wanted.

I would love to hear any advice from more experienced auction-runners if there's something I could've done better. I tried to keep it updated at least once a day, I bumped every couple of days to keep it near the top, and I tried to flag how low the prices were in my bumps. I know it's not a matter of demand because Utaku ran an auction that started after mine and funded in just over a week. I'm not as well-known as Utaku, but I'm not a stranger either, and I've completed purchases and trades with a good number of people across the forums.

At some point I hope to run an auction again, and short of throwing extra money/tokens at it, is there something I should be doing that would help me get across the finish line?

I'm less interested in auctions that seem like the end date matters. Personally, I think an auction should last one week and be ordered regardless, but I'm not running them.

Sure, it's a lightning auction, but feeling of urgency is good.

I'd not say "still great deals". I'd summarize grossly underpriced components of the auction like twice a week. While the people who most cared about PYPs got theirs, maybe people crawl out of the woodwork to pick up Greaves or whatever. So, it amazes me how low PYPs sit in some of these auctions. Think Kickstarter - you want a massive initial rush to feel like the snowball is happening. It's just a matter of time before it funds, so get in before forget. Getting the Rings and PYPs up to at least close to average prices makes the funding seem more imminent even if those are ultimately going to be in some tight range.

What's interesting is that there are just an absurd number of recipes to sink TGs into right now. One thing about legendaries is their timelessness means that the more legendaries the more recipes to drain TGs, ToH excepted. With Omni, anything is open to someone planning into the future.

One thing I need to track next year is augmented auctions vs non augmented and the amount of augmentation. It seems after the preorder season that auctions often need a kicker to fund. People turning duplicate tokens into random URs and a GT chance push stuff over the line.

Posting a lot also helps. Highlight the deals. Ultra rares for $80! Gold for $11! Those are selling points.
