The bids from Flint don't seem to be posted in Ebay fashion.

What he's doing is only posting bids when there are two bidders, which is a bit funny. That's why there are still a lot of items with no bids showing, and why the initial bidding stage looks different than usual.

I guess I'm still a little confused why some bidders on the same items (pyps) are currently at 105 and other are at 75?

No minimum listed so once a bid is place it ahould be $0.25 for the high bid. Also, $30 difference in PYP when increment is $5.

I agree. I dont understand why the minimum bids are not being posted either. I didnt see the PYP difference, but now that you point it out that does look off.

I sent bids this morning on some things, including several items that have no bid attached to them currently.
I was told:

"Please keep in mind that some of your bids won't reflect right away as it needs 2 bids at least. Good luck on the bidding!"

This was the source of my previous comment. I believe the "correct" procedure would be to post my bid as winning at the $.25 minimum. While the only situation where this matters is if I'm the only bidder on these items, I'm not sure why it is being done this way, which differs from the posted auction rules.

I am more concerned about the PYP bids. With a $5 increment, Flint, Raistlin and Tanis should all be at $80. If there was a bidder at $100/PYP, that bidder did not get recorded properly, and should also be at $80. This also makes me concerned that the other bids may not have been recorded properly.

I can explain why...the 105s got bids in for only a few PYPs. Then Caramon came in with a bid on ALL the PYPs, whiched pushed all those others up to 105, but there arent any other bids to compete with the rest of caramon (or maybe it was a $70 bid), so all of caramon are low until someone bids against.

What Not-Starkhound-edwin said. They should be $5 off, not $30 off.

PYPs #1-7 are $105 while #8-34 are only $75. If I understand the rule above correctly, the bid should only be at $80, not $105.

Got it. caramon bids $100 for all PYPs and others bid $65 for all PYPs.

Exactly. But for everyone's sake I'm going to post the minimum bids so there's less confusion. I'll do it a bit later with the updates for the bids I've gotten today.

Thanks for explaining, that makes sense. I think it's still a little off though.

◦ The winning bid amount is the lesser of the 2nd highest bid + the bid increment and the highest bid.

I had entered a bid for $75 on all the PYPs. The bid increment over $50 is $5, so all Caramon's bids should be at $80, I believe.

Unless Cameron bid before you?

I get it now. Thanks Kurt & Edwin for explaining it. I was so confused before.
