I feel the need to explain something, because it has come up a couple times now.

The PYPs changed at the last minute from $125 to some of them at $126.

A new bid that came in was well over the $5 minimum, but what happened is that it bumped out a couple people who had 125 as their max, and left us with a few people who had 126 as their max.

I suppose I could have increased the bids by $5 on everyone, but that seemed a little disingenuous, and I thought it would have come off as greedy given how far over 8K we already were on the auction.

I definitely should have explained it when it happened, and my rationale.

I honestly don't know what the best solution would have been.

If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them (either here or via PM).

I want to improve this process as much as I can, so I can continue to do this again in the future. I had a lot of fun doing it, and I know people appreciated it.

Wade, you are running a similar auction that I ran (per wording of the rules) and will run. I would have done the same thing as per rule that the highest bidder would pay the 2nd highest bid but it would conflict if the second highest bid was the winning amount as the second highest bidder who initially placed the bid should have won it as they placed that bid amount first; therefore by increasing the price, then it would default to the highest bidder but pay in the proximity of the second highest bid.

Only the bid increment needed to be greater than the current highest bid, not the winning bid.

There is one person who has yet to pay. If they don't pay by 8 pm tonight, I will open it up to the next highest bidder, as previously stated.

Thanks to all for an amazing auction! This was a huge success in my eyes, and I will definitely be open to doing it again next year, probably during pre-orders.

I know many of you are part of 8K ordering groups, but if you watch this space, I will probably start one up.

If there is still interest in 2017 tokens after the next auction ends, I would be willing to do this again. Depending on finalized recipes, I will probably have some interest in trade goods if nothing else.
