I noticed gold started disappearing from peoples inventory list as several collectors out there began doing their best to get a hold of some - which might suggest a growing scarcity of easy gold. The recent trade prices of gold on eBay have also started to come back up slightly from the $0.02 conversion we were seeing not but a few weeks ago, which would also support that.

On the other hand though posts have been down in the last few days on the forums, so people might just be out living their lives.

Taking dollar bids in addition to gold bids with a specified conversion rate (so that the bids are more apples to apples) would probably generate more interest in the auction. You could then taking any winning bids in dollar form and buy gold from eBay or other sources still selling.

Thankfully gold farming in True Dungeon is not that simple

you are right. gold is disappearing. it is most likely finding homes in the hands of a few people that are going to go for the artifact recipe tokens at the auction. not that its a secret, but thats what i'm doing.

you can make a cash offer, but i'm mainly after gold. there are 3 reasones for this.

1. gold is what is accepted at the auction.
2. i believe that gold/jewelry/gems are an integral part of TD treasure (just like D&D). you should have something to spend it on.
3. by doing my auctions this way, it helps (maybe?) with an economy of sorts for TD....and props to george for being the first one i saw trading this way in the tavern.
