Congratulations on getting a bid for the Rod :) I'll be very interested to see how high the bid ends up going, I've only ever seen them for sale and never actually seen one sell before, so it'll be nice to see what a realistic price is at the moment.

please don't forget that the price last posted "might" not be the winning price. but it should get you into the ballpark.

on another note, we have lots of new bids that came in.

I personally expect the price to actually come in around $4000 for it's current value

I’m guessing 3500 - if Rods sold at 4000 we would see more movement on the ones listed on consignment. (The one at 4500 on Trent tokens, for example, would get you 450 credit on the site, bringing effective cost to 4050)

That's something to consider as well. Hadn't thought of that

I've seen them listed for anywhere from $4000 to $5500 on the forums and other sites, but have never actually seen one sell (which doesn't mean it hasn't happened privately), so I'm curious whether there's much of a gap between perceived and actual value. Not that I'll be able to afford one myself in the near future, but it's interesting knowledge to have in case I'm ever in a position to buy one.
