TOPIC: Laz's shop back from the dead..kinda

Planning on returning to True Dungeon at Gen Con, after a few year hiatus. Thinking of trying to work a trade of my +2 Dwarven Dire Axe for a Holy Avenger. As you're one of the first I usually deal with, what kind of difference in cost might I be looking at. Seems like the Axe should be more valuable, since more classes can use it, but online prices are all over the place on both of these.

I dont speak for Laz (obviously), but as an in print UR and a relic ingredient, the +2 Holy Avenger (or greatsword for that matter) are likely of higher value than the +2 Dwarven Dire Axe.

I saw the higher versions, but figured the Paladin only thing might drop the price a bit. I'll likely have to sweeten the deal when I make the trade, but that's just the way it goes most times.

Though I agree with Wade the Holy Avenger is generally more valuable, I don't agree with it being in print UR adding to its value. If anything that would make it less valuable than an oop UR. But again I agree with his final result +2 Holy Avenger > +2 Dwarven Dire Axe just not how he necessarily got there.

I guess my confusion is as to why the sword is more valuable. The OOP Dire Axe does a bit more damage (iirc) and is open to more classes. Is it the fact that the sword is transmutable or is the special ability just better? For my Paladin build, it fits the fluff and flavor. I will likely trade up if I get the chance. I'll just have to see how big the difference in price is. Hope to have it for Gen Con, if we're still doing it.
