As far as multiple Rogues, I'm suggesting different sliders just like the Fighter and Dwarf Fighter. While the two are subtly different, the differences add to the fun of playing Fighter.

As far as the token that lets other classes try the Rogue box, it's only fair now that the Rogue's expanded weapon choices and abilities have encroached on the territory of the high-damage dealing classes. #Joking #NotJoking

We've gotten to the point where Fighters seem to be sharing all their weapon knowledge with the other classes, I think it is time for the other classes to share their spell casting knowledge with Fighters.

I like where you're going, Fiddy. Half-elf Fighter/Wizard would be an interesting twist but since we already have two Fighter classes, I think the other classes might deserve alternates first.

Why stop there. In the Gold Box D&D computer games from the 90s it was possible to make a half elf Fighter/Magic User/Thief in a first edition based rule set.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I believe the 4 "base" classes could a be combined into groups of 3 in 1st Ed.

Cleric/Fighter/Magic-User
Fighter/Magic-User/Thief
Cleric/Fighter/Thief
Cleric/Magic-User/Thief
First ever death in True Horde

We stop there because triple class is what we're heading toward now that every class can use this hammer. But now you've stirred such fond memories...

Did you ever play the original Neverwinter Nights on AOL?

Ten-year-old me tried to get into those a couple times, but they were just too tedious and complex for me at the time.

Thirteen-year-old me smashed the CD's and threw everything away after coming home from Bible camp with a pamphlet that included Dungeons and Dragons on a list of Satanic influences.
