Hopefully we can have more charm-expanding options in the future if a lot of legendaries end up in the neck slot.

I personally like the neck slot quite a bit for this purpose. It's a powerful slot so it's right for a legendary to be there. But in most cases there are no "must have" class-specific tokens in that slot, nor any existing Eldritch or Legendaries. The exception is possibly the Amulet of Guarding but he already said the Paladin will be getting a Legendary weapon instead.

Lenses of Divine Sight - since it applies to both Spells and Scrolls, is there any chance it is intended to work for spells cast as scrolls (which usually get no love)?

Hi Jeff,

Any chance you can retain some of the flavor of the LoDS, and have the both the original and split spell get the +2? That's still massively depowered from the original. :)

Thanks,
Mike

I would very much love that as it would give poor old BoZ some love.

I'm a little confused about the sneaky necklace.

I assume it prevents all attack round delays period when its effect is active, right?

Or do you still have an attack round before the first sneak attack and it only prevents a round delay between 1st and 2nd sneak?

I won't be crying about it too much when we get a Legendary Wizard item - but I would consider putting the Wizard legendary in the waist slot.

I'm saying this because there was a carve out for paladins - which I assume is so they can keep Amulet of Guarding (but maybe it's because Jeff has something in mind that doesn't make sense in the neck slot).

The Medallion of Mystic Mouth and Ioun Stone Flourite Cube finally got wizards up in the top tier of damage dealers.

Or... if the legendary wizard item incorporates the effect of the MMM that would be wonderful too.

It says "ALL spells"

So... I await clarification, but rules as written that counts Earcuff of Energy, Carter's Tome of Insight, Bracelets of the Zephyr...

I suspect it's going to be the holy avenger for palis. Lute for bards.

I like the tome and the extra +X damage off Eldritch, but man these Wizard nerfs are rough. Wands and spell penetration. The MoMM and ISFC are pretty useless now unless you want to spend $6-8 per combat. Maybe make the turn-in per game?

Given that MoMM and Fluorite Cube are now back to affecting consumables instead of permanent items, I don't want the legendary to come anywhere NEAR that design space. I'd rather -being in the top tier of damage dealers- not require multiple consumables per run. I'd rather it not require consumables at all.

Fluorite Cube is now an Ioun Stone-slot taking UR that requires a consumable EVERY TIME you want to use it and grants somewhere between 6-10 damage per room (assuming 3-5 combat rounds). Contrast it with Greater Arcane Scroll Tube. Same damage bonus, scrolls are one use only, so Fluorite Cube beats it on what it alters... but the Tube is slotless and not UR.

If the wands were something more like Runestones, where it was a 1//game turnin (2//game if you wanted to MoMM with 2), I could see this being somewhat reasonable. As it stands, this rollback just severely affected 2 very recently printed URs (as in "I can still order the damn things" URs). And given that the INT changes are a year out and unspecified, and Wizard specific legendaries won't happen until 2021 at the earliest...

Well, I'm unhappy, to say the least.

I'm thinking though it could combine many wizard effects similar to the new Bard instrument, something like:

You may cast a spell, read a scroll, or use a wand as a free action (combining MMM, cabal set/RoSS, and Lenses of Sage Speed).

Then maybe +X to spell damage.

And some other quirk added in.

I know consumables aren't people favorite, but 1 rare to deal 8-12 extra each round for a room is pretty much the best deal there is in consumables.
