Ring - Captain’s Signet - fighters, paladin (maybe cleric?)

As a standard action, grant another party member an additional free action this round. 1/combat

I know I am late to this party, but I have only 1 UR suggestion. I know Jeff likes to include a UR weapon each year, but I propose weapons go to an every other year for UR weapons. This will keep one always available for PYP.....just a thought.

I should add I don't mean forever or anything just for a few years. There are a gult of UR weapons compared to other slotted tokens.

UR - Poisoned Quiver - Slotless - All

Ammunition Gains: Hit enemy must make DC-10+5*L Fort Check or suffer -4 to AC and To-Hit

In TDB "L" is clarified to be a multiplier based on dungeon difficulty:

0 for Non-lethal and Normal
1 for Hardcore
2 for Nigthmare
3 for Epic

This idea could use some workshopping, but I'd like to see the concept of "Difficulty Level" inserted into some tokens to help them scale.

I got thinking about this because each year I consider playing an Elf Wizard Illusionist ROSP class, maybe even using an old Wand of the Fey, but monster saves scale up so fast that at higher levels their de-buff spells basically have a 5% chance of being effective.

I think this could potentially slow down combat a lot, especially if multiple players in the party are using them.

I also think that the -4 to both AC and To-Hit is a bit too powerful.

But I do agree that items with saves need some way to increase the DC, otherwise they become useless at higher levels.

Monk

Underpowered for an UR. Could even be a Rare requiring both pucks to hit. Would be good for Normal level as long as it can't ever be boosted so Monk's don't become healers.

Ed

Attacking twice a round for a potential of 4 healing should not be too far off. Increasing the number of healing per attack would certainly increase the power level and make it more attractive if it needs adjusting. I am looking at other tokens like Hat of Healing , Belt of Healing , and Ring of Dark Health for reference for the healing amount. Other minor secondary bonuses (HP, saves, AC) can always be considered if increasing the healing is problematic.

I am obviously thinking of monks here, as their helm slots options are limited. I currently wear Crown of Might and would like to have an additional competitive option that is not a straight upgrade.

I am not against making this idea available and attractive for other classes.

Which I suppose leads me to another UR idea:
+1 Ring of Dark Health
Adds 1 to melee damage, heals self 2 hp on successful melee hit.

With Ring of the Eel , I doubt additional melee damage would be necessary as the healing is what makes it unique.
Playing True Dungeon since 2012.

All of the healing items you mentioned heal the slider not an ally. The key issue is healing an Ally which is the role of Cleric, Druid, and Bard.

TD has pretty clear history about not bluring class special attributes. I think you are fine if you keep the healing to the sliding player.

Although I will add at NM+ level healing is not the issue (there is an abundance of it). What we need is good items at the UC/Rare level that help new players but don't distort the power curve at NM+ levels.

Between flask of healing and Lotus Blossom Bowls the cat is out of the bag a bit on healing allies.

Also - doesn’t the ranger have a healing spell? Or is that only the rosp ranger?

Yes, a single cure minor wounds (or something like that). 5 hp. Which becomes a heal 15 when two eldritch items are equipped

5th level ranger gets the spell.

Maybe a ur that increases amount healed for the ranger like the focus rares.

I considered an idea for affecting ranger spellcasting , but the problem is that only the 5th level ranger has spells. Only affecting spells is too narrow and assumes other tokens. Crown of Expertise is a way to help spellcasting without being so narrow but helps other classes far more.

Could have a druid / ranger token that only affected 1st level spells. Could have a ranger token that did something and affected spells.

I find that rangers can have spells really interesting, but it seems intentionally awkward to the point where I've forgotten twice that I had a healing spell available.

I think you were talking about Flask of Sharing (1/game), Lotus Blossom Bowls (1/game), and 5th level Ranger heal. Once per game is fine, your never going to be accused of being a healer then.

Adding a token where you could heal allies multiple times a room shouldn't happen (unless it is Bard, Cleric, Druid, Paladin).
