Underpowered for an UR. Could even be a Rare requiring both pucks to hit. Would be good for Normal level as long as it can't ever be boosted so Monk's don't become healers.

Just to be clear, you do just the damage anount listed in the retribution column on the party card, right? This isn't adding melee damage on top of that amount? Making sure I understand the intended mechanic.

Assuming that is true, sounds like a great help to making retribution build a more useful alternate path.

Probably shouldn't include Clerics since they don't like pointy things. Probably should include Barbarians.

The healing one could be an issue depending on how it interacts with eldritch healing/lods

Yes, the intention was just the retribution damage listed on the party card would be used for damage (no other bonuses). So with belt of thorns and assuming 5 from the shield, it would be a melee attack (slide shield with melee +to hit bonuses) that would deal 15 damage.
The class arguments make sense. Overall, the numbers may need tuning, but the idea is there.

Yes, it could be an issue. The intention was cast a damage spell with damage modifiers into a shield and cast a healing spell with healing modifiers (eldritch set bonus included, Lenses of Divine Sight would have no interaction) as a damaging attack.

What if there was a ki set.

Headband of mental ki - hit monster cannot use special abilities next round.

Kimono of mobile ki (armor) - +3 DEX and monster -1 AC each time you hit.

Glasses of mystical ki - hit monster cannot cast spells next round.

Shirt of mighty ki - +1STR and monster deals -1 damage each time you hit.

Earcuff of methodical ki - monster -1 to-hit each time you hit.

Set bonus:
3 piece: each time you hit, heal self or ally 5 HP

4 piece: each time you hit gain +1 to-hit for combat.

5 piece: each time you hit gain +1 damage for combat.

The abilities of the headband and glasses feel (to me) very OP. While I like that some tokens provide immunity to certain effects, disabling monsters' ability to interact with players in a meaningful way would make combat less interesting.
