Another thing I noticed, some of the coaches or training room coaches were either overwhelmed or completely uncaring, especially on the Friday and Saturday morning shifts. I had one person that didn't even mark the difficulty of the party, let alone their start time and date, etc.

Agreed. I honestly felt bad for some of my obviously new groups while I was running as Slif; especially those that got mixed in with the super intense players. I tried to help by immediately pointing out the Rogue's Box and dropping more hints for people who asked newbie questions like "Can we touch it?", "Am I supposed to cast a spell?", etc. I also had 2 groups whose Party Cards weren't marked with their difficulty, though that was easy enough to fix by asking inside the Training Room. I didn't think to double-check other parts of the Party Card, oops. I hope that wasn't a problem for my Room 3 DMs.

Is there something wrong with Page 18 of this thread (this post should be on Page 19).

Every time I try to click Page 18, I just get Page 17 instead....

I can bring up page 18.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I'm still having problems with it for some reason.

But I managed to see the "hidden" posts by manually modifying the URL and choosing which post number it would start displaying with.

I meant to respond to this comment earlier:

Disbeeleaf wrote: The only main point I want to make about the dungeon rooms, including Grind, is that every departure from the standard D&D rules should have a clear and justifiable rationale. Arbitrarily changing the rules, for whatever reason, especially if it seems spontaneous, leads to conflict and frustration.

I used to have this discussion a lot with JimC.

Although TD is based on and inspired by D&D, it is NOT D&D, so just because it works that way in D&D (and often just one specific edition of D&D) does not mean it necessarily works that way in TD.

I recall Disbeeleaf mentioning this topic on whether the Rakshasa "mirror images" should have disappeared when they were attacked. My logic is that there were many possible explanations:

- They were actually higher level illusions, for which I simply allowed the Lenses of Clear Sight to work (so technically not Mirror Images)

- Or they were high level versions of Mirror Image with fewer restrictions (like how higher level Invisibility spells may allow you to attack)

- Or the spell is essentially getting recast every round

Etc.

Not to mention that if you are really expecting TD to adhere to the "standard D&D" rules then 4th and 5th level characters really shouldn't be running around with Relics, Legendaries, and Artifacts while taking on Dragons, Beholders, and Liches! :P

I had a similar issue trying to get to any page past 11. Opening the thread in Incognito mode allowed me to view it without issue. Seemed like a cookie issue.

I have this happen to me a lot, I didn't think to try incognito mode, but I modify the URL to adjust the starting number or the number of items returned...
My online token shop: www.tdtavern.com

We buy, sell, and trade True Dungeon tokens. We also have a convenient consignment program where you can sell your own tokens.

It only worked once for me. After that, I'd get bounced back to 11. Either way, I'm not using incognito now, and I'm viewing everything.

I also forgot to mention that the training room DM for Viper's Pit at 10:39 on Sunday was awesome. Give that guy a raise. Friendly, funny, informative, and he really gave us a great start on a fun run.

Thank the gods. Two years ago my district moved the start of the school year to the middle of August for some insane reason, so for the past three GenCons it conflicted with the first week of school. Not a good situation! Thankfully with GC starting at the end of July next year there will be no more conflict, at least for a few years.

I think that was executed exceedingly well this year (and I say that having finished "Into the Vipers Pit" as the handsomest statue that ever existed).

I beg to differ there mister Rouge. There were four petrifications in that room, and I believe that you came in somewhere around second in that list of good looking statues squarely behind (yours truly) the Paladin...;)

The DM in the next room almost fell over laughing when we all walked into his room and struck combat poses in the corner, standing motionless until he just had to ask what we were doing. Was extra special when he took up position among us and effectively hid from all the people actually trying to do the puzzle...

I overheard some guild members talking about the "free" equipment. They know it is all part of an elaborate ploy that benefits the guild in the long run. Something about extorting a percentage of sales from the magical equipment manufacturers and getting people hooked on wanting more equipment. ;)
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

I tired requesting off already, but the system won't allow it until January :(
