Thank you to everybody who helped to make TD 2014 a success! I had a great time with my group - we enjoyed everything. We had a positive experience with every volunteer we interacted with.

A few things I wanted to highlight - I really appreciated the photo areas which were setup with a volunteer at the end of the dungeons. It was a great way to remind us to take a team photo! I also really liked the wrap-up room only including one team. It made us feel personally cared for as opposed to the general wrap-up room which had been used in the past which got overly crowded with 4 teams in it. I was also very impressed with the quality of the puzzles! OMG! All the props were amazing!

I especially enjoyed the Vipers Pit final puzzle - it's nice having the symbols throughout the dungeon. It gives the players something to focus on when they finish the room early or are waiting for their turn. I think it would be great if we had more of those types of puzzles in future TDs.

4/4

Did two Zephyr Combat Nightmare runs with Troubadours which were Flawless Victories (solved all puzzles and rooms, got all treasures and stamps).

Both times we used the Treasure Finding on the Happy Fun Ball, Room #4 and Air/Vacuum Pump, Room #6, but we solved them anyway. We considered using the Restore Spell for third castings of Treasure Finding, but the Air Elemental was so easy we didn't bother.

So no actual benefit from the Treasure Finding (which would have been helpful for both of the Viper Combat runs where we couldn't get that egg spiral to work!).

Did we ever get confirmation that the Cleric Restore Spell would work with Treasure Finding. We didn't try it either. We also used it on the same rooms as you.

If you could restore it at the end of of one room, the Troubador could use it as they enter the next room, but I am not sure if this will fly. Maybe if the Druid took the first action in a room, the Troubador could use it their ability on their next turn and still be using it as their first action?

Use Amorgens excel sheet to make a party card pre run and you have pretty much achieved this goal.

There's also the iphone app, which was great. No paper, carry my phone with me anyway, what more could you ask for?

Definitely a big thanks to Amorgen for continuing to update the excel sheet, and a big thanks to Tom for making the iphone app. Huzzah! :)

I used the phone app when I had to rearrange some builds on Sunday. It worked very nicely.

Why wouldn't it?
Treasure Finding is a spell. Clerics can restore a spell using Restore Spell.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Restore Spell says next turn. Treasure finding is worded such that it might need to be used immediately upon entering a room. I would say it is one for TPTB to decide. I have seen it argued both ways.

we asked that specific question of a DM in one of our runs and he agreed that the timing wouldn't work out since treasure finding needs to be used as soon as you get into a room and not "next turn" as it said on the restore spell power.

this does seem like it needs confirmation from TPTB however, just to clarify things.

If everyone gets an action when you enter a room, couldn't the cleric just go first and the Troubadour go second? The timing should be such that you would get it off immediately.

Seems like TPTB needs to clarify on this. I see no reason why it wouldn't work the way FatalDrakkon says but it's a treasure stamp issue so confirmation would be best.

It seems to me like it would work as well, if the Restore Spell was the cleric's first immediate action and the Treasure spell was the bard's. But I agree that this is a TPTB-level question. But we can wait for TPTB to continue recovering - can you believe it's only been a week?

My only consolation is that we don't have to wait a full year before next GenCon because it is technically a few weeks earlier.

Thank the gods. Two years ago my district moved the start of the school year to the middle of August for some insane reason, so for the past three GenCons it conflicted with the first week of school. Not a good situation! Thankfully with GC starting at the end of July next year there will be no more conflict, at least for a few years.
