that being said, if you are on the same run, there is a work around that. BUt i will not share it

I know the work-around, and would totally share it. :P

they should have to use a little brainpower to figure it out...or they(people) will be useless to zombies

The less brainpower, the more easily zombies can catch you. :)

Good thread to read and review. A few pages ago, a player suggested fourth level prestige classes. A shame we couldn't get a 2015 purple that had that effect. Imagine being a new player, buying an event ticket, opening your swag bag to discover you get to play a prestige fourth level sub-class character? Seems like a great way to begin True Dungeon. Then, if fifth becomes the new base level in a few years, then Jeff can recycle the current fifth level prestige character cards? There is so much room for growth with prestige/sub-classes. This seems to be a flavorful addition to True Dungeon. Thanks Jeff.

Know what I think would be awesome?
A 2015 reprint of the UR "Special ?" paired with the (obviously super-secret surprise *cough*) of being able to play a Prestige Class for your run that year.

That would give the Rod holders a full year to enjoy their Prestige classes before anyone else had a chance at them, and it would give TD a year to iron out any kinks in the Prestige classes (along the lines of "Holy smokes, I didn't realize the interaction of these 2 prestige Classes could let any 2 players clear the entire dungeon on their own!"). It would also give a year for the DMs to get used to seeing them in the dungeon.

So if a newbie found a UR Special in their "00" pack, they would get a double treat: Playing as 5th level, and playing an unusual class!

As a soon to be ROSP holder I love this idea! It'd be an amazing piece :)
Could POSSIBLY allow it to be used for each ticket they hold IN THEIR NAME for that year. get a chance to possibly check out more than one sub class.

I'd love to see something like that done on a rare occasion. Share the unique fun with groups each year.

Agreed assuming next year you can play the class with the ROSP more than once... a year...

I agree it would be cool to check out more than 1 Prestige class, but (a) it would be a royal pain to track across multiple runs and (b) it would be giving a greater benefit for a Single UR than is given for the Eldritch token. If anyone gets to play multiple Prestige classes, it would have to be the Rod holders (as per Fizziks' comment)

I don't think the Rod affect is going to change, tho, so there's no sense giving the Special UR more than a single Prestige run. (Yeah, it's an expensive perk for a consumable token, but I think it actually gives the Ro7P more (perceived) value that way. The Ro7P yearly perk would be roughly equivalent to getting a ~$100 value for free, every year.

Yeah. I agree there.

Honestly I would love the rod to allow a sub class each run. Or maybe 1 run per eldrich piece if you have the rod, etc?
